lol its ok we know what will happen if he win,of course he win if he lost at quater or onward,ld fans will say he only need enough point for tc 1st ms slot and not interest in this kind of low quality tournament(then the original theory of playing 2nd ms in tc will be broken)+he is generous anyway i hope and expect lindan to win this if not,his fans need to suffer what taufik fans suffer few years ago
Would be great for Hayom, and I really hope that he can step on top very soon since we need someone following Taufik after next OG, but what time will we see another Taufik - LD clash? If Hayom makes it this week already, even in TC matches we can not watch Taufik vs. LD
If only Taufik can show his All-England hunger, like how he played Peter Gade, then it will be a great match against Lin Dan. Otherwise, maybe Taufik cannot make it to final, lose to players like Kenichi Tago, etc. Hope Lin Dan qualifies as 1st MS for TC.
true very true if quarter final he's in already but should lin dan, once upon a time an invincible player, now have to compete this way to be china ms1? somebody give me a break
that someone is you and bolehers, just count the number of posts they got just in this thread, and BAC hasn't started yet.
2010 BAC: Hidayat to renew rivalry with Lin . Source: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/olympics/2010-04-12-1870531082_x.htm Hidayat to renew rivalry with Lin By Sandeep Nakai, AP Sports Writer NEW DELHI — Former Olympic and world champion Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia will renew his rivalry with reigning Olympic and world champ Lin Dan of China this week at a Badminton Asia Championship staged under heavy security at the Indian capital. The Asia championship, starting April 14 after two days of qualifying, will be without some other top Asian shuttlers, including defending men's champion Bao Chun Lai of China who is preparing for the showpiece Thomas Cup and Uber Cup team tournaments scheduled for Malaysia next month. Lin, winner of the 2008 Olympic gold and the past three World championships, has enjoyed an edge against Hidayat in recent competitions. Hidayat, ranked No. 5 in the world and the reigning Asian Games gold medalist, leads the Indonesian challenge and has been given the top-seeding in men's singles, while Lin is seeded second. After his hat-trick of world titles, Lin is currently No. 4 in the world rankings. Hidayat is seeking to play down his rivalry with Lin, who he beat in the final of the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. "We both have a competitive attitude. Our on-court rivalry is an appreciation of the each-other's talent," says Hidayat, who won the Asian championships men's singles in 2000, 2004 and 2007. Hidayat said he is eager to win more titles. "I have random pictures in my memory of my three Asian championship triumphs. I remember feeling ecstatic," said Hidayat. .
Why ask why?.. ..it's very simple. Any time a fave player loses (esp. from CHN, MAS or INA), there will be threads opening up left and right and all sorts of comments would fly. For proofs, just check out the "KKK & TBH going up and down the hill" threads and how many posts and views those have. And check out Datuk LCW's threads and posts when he loses in comparison when he wins. Then check out the many "Why Taufik Hidayat lose?" threads and the comments. And now, with LD struggling and failing in his last few tourneys, check out how many comments are posted on how LD is going downhill, it's the beginning of the end of his career, he has lost his passion/focus/desire et al. Of course, none of the no. comments for LD can match those for any M'sian players.
SuperDan won his two first matches easily, he spent 1h06 on court today. http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/player.aspx?id=5E0AF1A8-C6A3-4AC5-8439-8094B1B474C6&player=2
