    Assuming the CHN team as;
    MS1 LD
    MS2 CJ
    MS3 BCL
    MS4 CL

    MD1 GZD/XC
    MD2 CY/FYF
    MD3 CB/ZN

Apart from injuries I don’t expect CHN play CL or CB/ZN except in the earlier round for experience.

CHN’s MS will have a very good chance to score the 3 points against any teams. To score only 2 points from singles will be a very bad bad day, unlikely in my opinion. MD1 will have less than 50/50 against any top teams' MD1. With CY/FYF at MD2 and their experience in TC the one point is very certain against any MD2.

Therefore, I will say CHN will get the TC 4th time in a row this year

My prediction: China will have 90% chances to take home the Thomas Cup.

    If FHF/CY play for MD2, I wonder which country's MD2 can beat them... ;)

perhaps LP/JR can if they carry their recent form to TC

but XC/GZD doesn't look too good against any of the other MD1

Which country's MS2 and MS3 can touch CJ and BCL?

    Msia: 10% chances
    Denmark: 35% chances
    INA: 40% chances
    Korea: N/A :D

well, CJ is prone to injures. if he cant play CHN may have a young and inexperience at MS3. and if the score is 2-2 then that should be very very interesting.

..let's just hope M'sia's TC squad can reach the Final Rd. and try their luck again vs. CHN..if M'sia's TC squad doesn't win, then at least they'll fill up the stadium..

    for DEN vs CHN,

I say for the 3 MS, DEN has less than 50/50 to score 1 pt.
and the 2 MD, 50/50 at best to score 1 pt.
    i.e. no chnace to win.

    Let's imagine : 3 singles, 2 mens doubles.

Ms 1 : Lin Dan vs Peter Gade
Ms 2 : Chen Jin vs Jan O Jørgensen 50/50
Ms 3 : Bao Chunlai vs Joachim Persson
    Md 1 : GZD/XC vs Boe/Mogensen
    Md 2 : Fu/Cai vs Paaske/Rasmussen

    ok

    chance after MS1 - 95% CHN 1 DEN 0
    after MD1 - 75% CHN 2 DEN 0
    after MS2 - 60% CHN 3 DEN 0

if JOJ take MS2 (unlikely due to JOJ's inexperience but possible), then CHN 2 DEN 1

    after MD2 90% CHN 3 DEN 1.

well, still have 10% chance that 2-2 after MD2, cant see it really.

so, if its down to MS3, BCL vs JP. on paper obviously BCL has upper hand, very much up as 3 times TC winner. that also depends on when they meet as well. i say DEN has a better chance if they meet before the final. i cant really see JP can pull it off at 2-2 in the final! being the first dan to bring the cup to denmark for the first time. but then again, may be he can.

there are difference between a SS t'ment that has 12 in a year than the world championship. CHN will put all their efforts to prepare for it. and you're talking about the experience of CHN 7 times winner and DEN 8 times loser (errm, runner up, that sounds better).

i still consider KOR is the real threat to CHN. if KOR can get the 2 points from the doubles then if that down to BCL against an unknown youngster trained and prepareed by Li Mao. cant wait

under normal circumstances (i.e. no injury, with proper fitness):

    LD could beat PG,

both CJ and BCL could beat JOJ and JP for sure...

for JP, I think even CL and WZM could beat him normally...

therefore difficult for DEN to steal a MS pt unless abnormal thing happened....

agree... just look at CHN's record in the past few TCs... just breezed over the suspected difficult matches...

actually TC is really boring, only 2 countries ever won it since the war and that was over 60 yrs ago!
