you are right...we often use "kalah" as everyday word in conversation...(e.g: aku kalah laaa, dia kalahkan aku, kalah laa camni!!)
formally, the word "tewas " is more suitable..i dont know why but u sure can read the headline written "Malaysia tewas lagi", "Jepun menewaskan Malaysia"...

Nice ! Was looking for that feature :). Interesting to see Kenneth Jonassen has a 4-1 h2h against Hafiz whereas Persson stood at 2-2 and now 2-3 :p.

predicted Malaysia 1-4 to Denmark yesterday but was wronged...

still predicting Malaysia 1-4 to China tomorrow but hope i am wrong again...

if Taufik lose to Tago, then i think high chance for Japan to be in final...and ended up being whipped by China...(still hope i am wrong again)

Hard for Malaysia. Already reached target of semis, anything more - like a good fight in the semis or a 3rd place finish (do they still have that inconsequential losers' playoff) - will be a bonus to Malaysia.

If after first two ties, it's 1-1, Malaysia will still stand a chance but hard to get a point from the first two ties (inspite of the No. 1 ranking of the 3 Malaysians involved in the ties). 2nd singles is as good as China's. 2nd doubles may be a 50-50 inspite of the fact that Chinese pair being ranked higher - whoever Malaysia plays - given the crowd and linesmen support under such atmosphere. Then if it's 2-2, up to Hafiz to be hero once again. However rates him at only 45-55 against Bao, maybe closer to even chance if it's Chen.

Most likely outcome: 3-1 to China. Sigh, another 18 years wait.
