why cant LYB just admit that CHN team lost to a better KOR team? I must salute KOR team... They didnt crumbled under the pressure... esp the WS1... She played very well and deservedly beating WYH in straight game...

translation of Kompas article (paragraphs in bold only)

This result dashed China's ambition to be crowned champions for the seventh consecutive time. On the other hand, (before the match) upon learning that China would meet Korean in the final, coach Li Yongbo was very optimistic that his team would retain the championship. "There is no other possibility, because China will be the winners", he said.

After what transpired in the final, however, Li Yongbo started to offer excuses. According to him, China's focus is to prepare for the 2012 London Olympics.

"They didn't win the Uber Cup, but that is not a bad thing, for our main focus is to face the 2012 London Olympics."

"Let's give other countries the opportunity to become Uber Cup champions, so that (the competition) will get better. After all, it'd become boring if China always becomes the champion and we'd like to allow other countries the opportunity to win."

Definitely Li Yongbo still very very arrogant. He wants to manage public opinion that China is fine with their loss, without appreciating what Korea team have been done to won the match. Just simply CHN wants other country to win .... that was a lame reason to say Yongbo !

korea deserves it... no doubt korea women's doubles played way way better than china, but most of all the WS1, she's the korean womens team hero

oh yeah?! thats why after the 1st doubles game he immediately talked with his players..... hahaha

he has a big chance, hes better player now than chen jin but taufik should win to boost the morale of his teamates
