great to read abt ur trip chris..

reminds me of the fun short trip i took in Jan earlier this year during the SS. must say the hospitality in MAS will leave you longing for more.

dreadfully missing not being in KL right now, had to cancel last minute due to new work commitments with the CWG OC.

hope u have a great time and enjoy the company of limsy and all other BCers

Chris.. now I know what you mean with all the makan sessions :p I think I'm feeling full already looking at the pics lol!

btw.. this particular pic reminds me of my trip to Redang some years back. The place we stayed is just around the corner from this particular 'bridge'. When we went snorkelling, we were told not to bring anything.. and no need to wear slippers. So regret that we listened to them.. cuz' it was in the afternoon.. the sand was hot.. and the moment we stepped onto this 'bridge' on bare foot.. we were running/jumping while screaming 'wah.. wah.. wahhhhh'.. the wood and concrete was extremely hot!!! I think some of us got blisters after that :p Nice pics la Chris.

    KL Monorail..

The tix to go up the bridge..yes, it's FREE!..but one has to queue to get in (the avg queue time is about 1.5 hrs)..

    View of the ticket queue..

If one doesn't come and queue up early, this is the sign of what she or he will get..

Day 13-A day in Genting Highlands..

Day 13 - Up to Genting Highlands..Genting is like M'sia's version of Disneyland (the happiest place on Boleh Land)..

At the bus station in Genting..

Some of the pricey hotel room prices..

    Where we had our luncheon..

Supposedly the 2 colorful hotel structures, in the background, have the most rooms for a hotel in all of Asia..

It was sunny on the way up with the cable car/skyway..

But on the way down from Genting with the cable car/skyway..it was foggy and raining..temperature wise, i would say it's about San Francisco's weather/temp.; and it's quite dry too..i was there wearing my blue surfer shorts and tees whilst the other BCers were wearing pants and tees..

..and ended the night driving by the Petronas Tower after the mini-dinner with drifit & other BCers..

    Day 14-Back to the stadium..

Back @ the stadium & finally meet the rest of the BCers..so, no sightseeing journey..But..

I was staying in this hotel, in Puduraya area, and during breakfast, i looked up and i saw this Taufik Hidayat-look-a-like..i guess he is one of the employees there..i couldn't believe my eyes so i took this photo of him to share with you guys. I also walked by him a few times and he does resemble a bit like Taufik..From the front, he also looks kinda similar...i wonder if he knows Taufik and if anyone has ever mentioned that about him?!?!..

After the Friday night's match, went to eat at a nearby Indian mamak restaurant..apologize once again for the food pics..

    Day 15-More KL..

    Day 15-More KL...

After the Uber Cup Final, took limsy out for a shabu2 and grilled dinner (no, it's not a M'sian specialty but limsy was so hungry and was craving for something a bit different)...i think that was the 1st time i've seen him really enjoy & got down w/ his meal..:p..sorry again for the food pics..

Then we hit the road to Bukit Bintang (Starhill) and Pavilion mall area to experience the KL night life..The area caters mostly to high-end retails & shops and during weekends, it's the happening place in KL..
