When KKK/TBH won the All England.. Rexy was dubbed the "saviour" by some. But now it seems that everything went backwards to him. I would not say Rexy is at fault. Im sure he did his job but maybe somehow he may lost track in certain issues and goals. Or he may not be as strict enough due to "top level" pressure. Our players may take advantage of it. Anyway believe me that Rexy did his best. Our country still needs him.

my fren, thr is no need to be too specific
fitness, strength refers to physical condition in general speaking.
of course speed if u wanna go into details must be separated into speed of reaction, movement, shot-making.
in which it must be grouped into talents and skills.

I dont understand why people complain that TBH doesnt smash non stop... while nobody does cept maybe FHF (even JJS throws in deceptive drops in between his shots)

1st, While fast and steep, TBH smash is not on par with FHF in terms of power and any decent player should know that brainlessly smashing into your opponent is no way to win a game

2nd, KKK is a very good front player but his style is based much more on deception and net play then coming up and cutting shots like CY

3rd, players dont come out of MDs limping and barely standing like they used to in the old system so endurance is rarely an issue (maybe more speed)

MAS fans just keep complaining and blaming everything and everyone when their team is in difficulty instead of supporting them. Im disappointed that the CHN team lost the UC but I am confident that this will make the team much better moving forward.

If you guys want to force BAM to take the same approach as CHN... you will always be a step behind.

ant, that i agree. for rexy if they let him shoulder the losses and firing him, is not going help mas currently or in the future. simply no one/team/country is perfect and one good example is the recent uber cup.

bam should find out what happen first then find the solution and discuss how to implement changes/solve or fix the problems or to come back and be on track to become a badminton power house. other than that it will create more chaos.......

in order to find out what happen bam should start with a name list of all concerned in badminton, either way from the very bottom to the very top or the very top to the very bottom. i think i do not need to go on...

it has to be specific, if not there isn't any use even to bring it up. :D

let me share with you what i saw during lin dan's recent match:

ld was fast and he had the ability to sustain that pace, in no time his opponent's mental would collapse if they can't keep up/change tactic.

here can we say ld has the speed and the speed endurance?

    just sharing!:)

    they had 4-6 against cai/fu
    8-4 against kido/hendra
    2-6 against lyd/jjs

who can beat cai/fu 4 times?
who can beat kido/hendra 8 time?
    against the top 3
koo/tan fare much better than others
    and yet
    what u expect from them?

    1st)
koo/tan vs fu hai feng/cai yun
    beat
all england 2007 final 21-15,21-18(39 min)
swiss open 2007 quater 21-16,11-21,21-13(51 min)
swiss open 2009 semis 23-21,18-21,21-14(56 min)
    asian games 2006 quater 21-9, 21-19
    lost
indonesia open 2007 semis 21-17,12-21,10-21(45 min)
    sudirman cup 2007 9-21,14-21(32 min)
thomas cup semis 2008 16-21,17-21(39 min)
    sudirman cup 2009 21-19,15-21,21-23 (66 min)
indonesia open 2009 semis 21-18,11-21,15-21(50 min)
and the most recent in tc 2010(yet to update my data):p

    well
    note that
koo/tan never beat cai/fu in any cup for 4 times;)
koo/tan stand better in open tournament with a 4-2:)
if one have look into this record
no one will expect koo/tan to beat cai/fu in thomas cup

    2nd)
thats the different between china fans and malaysia fans
china fans will find out how to prevent their player to lost again
while malaysia fans will point finger and play the blaming game;)

    3rd)
    easy
    biased by lcw fans;)

    i agree:)

    1st)
in fact, some are brainless to think u smash 11 time to win a point is a good tactical play;)(hint:read other thread)

    2nd)
    well
u cant expect mature speak from immature mind set;)

Another key ingredient in playing doubles forgotten here is teamwork, playing with understanding and covering and planning for each other.
Otherwise the result is 2 singles players partnering each other.
Malaysia has always been a leader when it comes to men's doubles, most of the time china lack behind in this department.Maybe there's something we don't know.
I think it is easy to analyse the singles game but much more difficult in doubles (at least for me) it is just like football one has to do one's part and plan ahead and think of the opponent as well as one's partner.
Just in case this point is forgotten.

Just out of curioisity if one were to compile all the arguments why

who lose to who, what would happen if we tabulate all the factors and

apply our own weightage and see how it turn out?

I think this can be used in football matchups and used in business for

stakeholder analysis and evaluation of core competentencies ie.strength

and weaknesses of a product against that of the competition.

I think the result is the same using all rational weightages.

China Weightage Score Malaysia Weightage Score

2 Guru coach Tang Xian Hu Misbun Sidek

Note that Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun is the ONLY CHN MD pair that we can consider to be World-Class in the past 10-15 years, after Li Yongbo/Tian Bingyi  After their era is gone, its gonna be extremely hard for CHN to find another pair that can sustain similar challenge, and that includes the emerging pair of Zhang Nan/Chai Biao.

If you look at the juniors, it's even harder to imagine a top 5 pair from CHN from the batch of junior players like Li Gen.

If you look after their miracle AE2007 win....their record against Cai/Fu is 2:6....and if you look from the OG2008, the record against MK and HS is like 2:4...and the record against JJS and LYD is pretty obvious (2:6).

After that 2007AE they've pretty much gone downhill...

    here's from another angle.
    I think LD beat KKK/TBH:p
With the easy win over LCW, the high hope of MAS of beating china got quashed. Hopelessness is in the air, more pressure piled onto kkk/tbh to beat FHF/CY. KKK/TBH knew it would be close to an impossible task to not only beat china but to beat them convincingly enough like LD over LCW so to re-lift MAS spirit:p All IMO of course:D:p

FHF/CY did played really well. If they can beat kidowan pair, i say FHF/CY were prepared.

good observation... Zhang Nan/Chai Biao might show promise early but I dont see them reaching Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun level.

Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun evolve from pure attacking player to more allround..

the ability the evolve will determine the sustainability of players.

    my leftover 20 sen..

To chime in on X Ball's opening 2 posts, it basically goes back to the age old discussion in this forum on MAS badminton. That is, going back to Pemuda's harping on BAM and the management. It all starts at the top.
Rexy is just one component. But who is really running the show?..
If they fire Rexy and bring in another coach, will there be much difference?..Players also play an important part; imo, even more so than a coach..
Fitness, mindset focus, training, they're all part of the preparation...

    lol
li gen is quite fancy at the net
    so
fu hai feng should patner him:D

    so?
i think u only saw 10% of the picture

    unlike other pair
they start at 1 meter height(same like how taufik, lyd started) whereas other normally start at 5 cm height
hope u get what i mean

the emerge of koo/tan(december of 2006) had forced the world md to have a rapid change and improve to match koo/tan standard
try to compare cai/fu style before december 2006 and after
    so do kido/hendra
i would say that it was the standard of other who improved
    and not koo/tan are downhill-ed

during december 2006 to swiss open 2007
i can say that koo/tan was at 100 cm
and other was at 85 cm the most

    koo/tan was 110cm in 2008
whereas other 3 top pair is at 120cm
    (more analysis done on koo/tan)

    in 2009
    koo/tan was at 130 cm
other top 3 was around 125cm to 135cm

    in 2010
    koo/tan was at 135 cm
    other top 3 was around 130cm -140cm
    (i mean until may 2010)

    everyone is improving
    different people saw different thing;)

hope u get what i mean
