I am using NS9000 currently for double game. I like the racket for allowing me to play fast offensivedrive, block etc) and defensive game. But this racket lack a bit of power. Those who use it would understand what i mean.

My question is, which other racket is as fast as NS9000 or NS9.9K, but has got a bit more power and punch?

    Thanks.

For me i get the most out of a racket that:

    A. Has a head heavy BP (around 295-300mm)
    B. Is light (80-84g)
    C. Is strung to a high tension 28lb

A racket like this gives me a brilliant all round game.

I work it out like this:

    76g - 83g - Head Heavy
    84g - 89g - Even
    89g + - Head Light

I try and find a racket where i can swing the head fast to get the most out of the strings and be able to flex them. When i go by this i tend to have the strings between 25-28lbs dependent on how fast i can swing the racket. For me i get the most out of the strings in terms of power but have the string tension for good control. It seems a bit backward but i find a head heavy racket that is 90g i swing too slowly and too fast for a light head light racket.

its hard to find these specs as they are mostly the opposite for power or control but Dink has a T2 that is perfect for me :)

If you want to pack more punch i go for Carlton Tours, the Vapour Trail being the most recent. Good even racket and light at 84g.

It all depends on your game, if you are a fast swinger even with a very heavy racket then i would go with the Elite 89g and packs a mean punch, if you can flex a high tension then would be great for control.

Victor Bravesword 10 i think.......almost identical swing speed (frame design really help for cutting the air), stiffness and little bit head heavy...but of course i suggest you try first :)

Erm ... that is just weight (2U, 3U, 4U) and not balance point (headlight to headheavy) [IMG]

Maybe you can check out that ZELM PowerPlay 10000 since you are in Singapore anyway ... or NS9900

I mean i like a racket at 76-83g that is head heavy as opposed to head light or even. Thought it was clear

Yep, maybe you could've used & or + instead of - but most of all now that I'm behind a normal sized screen again I'm beginning to understand the "complaints" about the wide columns in the new bc software version :D. I skipped through your text below a little too quickly

    9000S or X btw?

I tried my friends and found it a more even balance, with his grip edging towards head light

NS9900 is slightly a little more head heavy and swing faster than NS9000. Both still lack a bit of power. Try Arc 8DX, a great even balance racket more head heavy, more solid than NS9900 and almost as fast as the NS9900.

Thanks for sharing. I used to have a NS9.9K before, felt as fast as my 9K but didnt like the stiffer shaft. Strangely, I also did not feel that it was more powerful than the NS9K despite being slightly more head heavy.

Thanks for recommending Arc8DX. By the way, I notice the NS9K/9,9K has a unique repulsive feeling when playing, it gives the feel like you have hit a very nice sweet spot. Does Arc8Dx gives the same feel?

Unfortunately NS9000 and NS9.9K are YY fastest racket, i cant think of any model as fast as them. Knowing that it will lack in power I believe YY designed NS9900 very stiff to compensate. So NS9900 is the most powerful racket under the circumstances.

The difference in releasing power between a head heavy racket in comparison to a stiff racket lies on the wirst and swing movement/power. Depending on whether one is a big swinger or a wristy player, preference will be determined.

So my recomendation is (under YY bracket) the AT900T. Its a head heavy racket but relatively quite light and fast, suitable for doubles players looking for power.

Thanks for the insight. Now I regret starting this discussion, very poisoning. Could someone familiar with AT900T and Arc8DX help provide a comparative rating in the following manner:
    speed power
    Arc8DX
    AT900T

    Thanks.

I got AT900T, NS9900 and Arc8DX. For speed ns9900 is the fastest follow by arc8dx then at900t. Most power is arc8dx, ns9900 and at900t are similar. If you got ns9000x then arc8dx will give you great power and more solid. This is what I feels, of course other people might be diff. In the end I think best for you to try out yourself.

That can be true, as i never tried 8DX so cant comment. If thats the case, 8DX must be stiffer or head heavier (or some combination of both) than AT900T.

i believe fastest racket in term of defend should be NS6000 coz its the lightest racket head based on yonex chart.

You might be correct but I have ever used some of the non Yonex rackets that are 4U with more headlighgt but are still not as fast as NS9K or NS9.9K because of the racket head design. And those lightweight racket lack the power when in play. NS9K and NS9.9K at least are quite powerful while fast. I am looking for one that is fast with a bit more power; but not those hammer like AT or MP series.
