Not sure if Saina can really challenge the Chinese wall.
If I were Li Yongbo, I would choose
Jiang Yanjiao, Wang Shixian for sure.
Wang Xin is quite consistent, and was the only one who won her match in the Uber Cup. In she goes.
    Forget Lu Lan.
Have an outright match between Wang Yihan and Wang Lin to see who gets to go.

Korean players are now playing the yoyo, so I can't really see any of them stopping JYJ/WSX/WX. Saina has the best chance to upset them, and so does Tine. All the other players have a tiny chance, INCLUDING Koreans, Maria Febe, etc.

Tine,Saina has the biggest chance to break the great wall..*altough it is not really a great wall again*

cheng shao chieh, firdasari will be the darkhorse..

Tine's form remains a mystery so we can't really count on her to challenge. Saina would, of course, be the main threat. She'd probably have to get past at least 2 of the 4 CHN girls to lift the title. The next level down are the KOR cuties :p, Firda etc. Pleasantly surprised to see Cheng Shao Chieh on the upswing again. Her inconsistency baffles me. Can't see her threatening, nor the Auntie brigade (Zhou Mi, Yao Jie etc).

The thing is, I can't see anyone consistent enough to threaten the Chinese wall except Saina Nehwal, but getting past 1 China player is already an uphill task, not to mention 2! Unless she gets Wang Yihan and Wang Lin in her half! :p

Unfortunately it's very unlikely both WYH AND WY will be selected. So it will be one of them and either WSX, WX or JYJ. Pick you poison, haha

Firdasari can be so infuriating. She's got all the skill and shots. But she can't think a good game consistently. Her ability to change her game when the situation demands is at best, average. If she could only put it all together... SIGH.

Is it too much of an ask for her to threaten the Chinese 4?

Actually the China Great Wall may not exist this time. People keep thinking a non-Chinese player has to beat 3 to 4 Chinese players to win the title. But now there are so many challengers, the 4 Chinese players may have already been beaten in early rounds. I won't be surprised to see Saina and Tine in the final if they are on difference bracket.

I still think That JYJ is the best choice out of the other 4....and I dont think Saina will beat her....She also has good records against other China's challengers, except tine

If she's not good enough, she's not good enough. How do you think giving her a free pass will sit with the rest of the players scraping tooth and nail to qualify?

Looks like Wang Yihan is gonna be in the World Championships team because she did not play the match for Shanghai and was back in Beijing to prepare, according to the Badzine article about the CBSL winner.

So, Wang Yihan is in, Wang Xin and Shixian should be in - who will be the fourth one?
It just has to be Jiang Yanjiao.

Why does LYB not like JYJ? ...
Anyway, hopefully it makes the Chinese wall a slight bit easier with 2 inconsistent WS (unless they come in top form!?). WSX and WX are the toughies.

I think LYB is very fair to his girls this time. WYH, WX, WSX and WL are the 4 highest ranked WS players even JYJ is in better form. The players should earn the spots by earning ranking points, not decided by the head coach. :)

What a time to be fair... what about in times past? LYB can use rankings to justify his selection but it is clearly bias. Jang Yangjiao, with a solitary defeat in the Super League is once again a bridesmaid. What else does she have to do to win a place in the squad? Well, all the better for all the world players to have WYH and WL instead. At least with these two, the others have a slight glimmer of hope.
