I'm going to vote for JJS/LYD. As I said, the two favourites who can probably go in peak form to the WC is JJS/LYD and CY/FHF. MK/HS does not have their 2008 OG form any longer, sadly, so they go for 3rd. I will pick KKK/TBH as a 4th.

ditto Dreamz. I'd love to see KKK/TBH lift the title but given their statistics against JJS/LYD, I doubt the Malaysian pair's chance should they meet. Koreans ftw.

More people please vote for Fang/Lee ! I reckon these guys will win, the draw for them is quite kind I would say, it's got a good balance of easier matches and it has a few tougher matches that will give them a challenge.

A bit unfair though, LYD/JJS have a bye into round 2 and practically a walkover into Round 3

My vote is on Cai Yun/Fu HaiFeng based on their current condition especially their sterling performance at the TC2010 finals.

Kido/Setiawan is no more with Pelatnas therefore I suspect the quality of training they received.

No doubt LYD/JJS won the just concluded CTO but LYD just came back from a wrist injury and he still has protection on.

As for Koo/Tan their consistency always let them down in big matches therefore I would pick the chinese pair.

No disrespect , but their names dont ring a bell. They prob play in front of a crowd of 10 people in a local gym as far as I know . Good luck to them in the tournament , just hope they put up a decent fight against Lee/Jung

I think you are right , just hope Koo/Tan would take this tournament more seriously and believe in themselves that they can win the WC. The MD event is going to be very interesting this year !

I would consider Gou/Xu as contenders to lift the trophy ......is about time they show the world what they are capable of !!

In the recent US GP Foggarty lost in the MS 1st round to Mario Cuba (Peru:eek:) 21-14 21-5, so if they get more than 10 points in either game, that will be an achievment. IMO ;)

My bet is on JJS/LYD though...

    ^^^

What , That anyone can just walk into the USA national team ! I know the standard is not high , but it cant be that bad ; I am a big fan of Howard and Tony but I dont think they will stand a chance against the other contenders for the title, they might be able to bully the other MDs team in North America and win a few national titles but they have more than a few weaknesses that top MDs pair (international) could explore and make them look very average on the stage.

..well, the point is, if the thought is Tony and Howard have no chance against other contenders for the title, then imagine Neumann and Fogarty..Btw, Neumann and Fogarty are not part of the U.S. National team. They are playing as independents but representing the U.S. How they qualified, well, gotta look back at the IBF/BWF regulations..

I would say Robertson/Clark could get into the 1/8 if they are fit and play well. Tony /Howard is a great pairing but it might prove abit too much for them getting past the Quarters, they have not done anything major in the past year

..to be exact, they have not won anything major since their 2005 WC MD title; although they did, however, win last yr's U.S. Open GP title. Partly also Tony was partnering with Candra W. and Halim H. for abt 2 yrs (while Howard was playing w/Bob M. in preparation for the 2008 OG).
