thanks to wy, i have the chance for a few shots with the TC700. initial game, singles. suffering from a shoulder/bicep sore muscle, i played softly, using wrist mostly. was suprised that shuttle still went quite far. frame felt solid on impact. none of my other rackets comes close to this feeling. 2nd try on doubles (play conservatively as i didn't want to clash wy's precious), power is good but i just cant get the sweet spot. defense is better than say p9990 or at700. will be putting down some greenbacks soon on this secret
You are most welcomed. Wrist play is good for the TC700 . Once you get the TC700 kick going (I really mean kick when it strikes the shuttle) there is little turning back.
Well not much quantities left there ....hence the shuttle house 50% is a good back up with 64 pieces shhhhhh
e78 will be cheaper than shuttle house. When I am in HK, I will buy in e78. But when I am in Japan, I will buy in shuttle house.
First time to use TC700 last night. Smash, Drive and Clear are great. The speed of the shuttle is fast and powerful. But I couldn't control it well during defense. For more detail, plz refer to the following post. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...lp-Racket-recommedation&p=1500694#post1500694
Defending isn't as bad as with some other smash-happy rackets. Choking up on that long handle should help.
I am still getting used to it. It is better for me with a slightly lower tension than usual (not sure why). With usual tension (26lbs) I found it a pretty unforgiving on off centre hits & timing was not good, however with lower tension it is much better.
Congratulation on getting one! The oval shaped frame of the TC-700 dictates 3 lbs lower tension than an isometric frame.
Thanks actually I got 2 of each Gen! All 3U unfortunately, but as people have noted, a heavy 3U, so it is ok to me! Better report of it once I have played a bit more with it.
Wow... so many new friends in the party. @James, will you be so kind to give you view between the 2 Gen? The tension needs to be a bit lower because of the shape and the stringbed is a bit closer. The TC700 has 23 cross. I didn't think it's 3lbs lower but Pete could very well be right.
guys, those of you who already got your tc700 from E78, what did u receive with in your package? cloth bag, racket, was it prestring?
I had my TC700 strung to 28lbs almost two months ago with BG65, and the pitch sounds like my friend's newly strung AT800 with BG65 at 28lbs. The sound isn't loud, but the pitch is generally higher probably because of the extra cross-string. IMO, the racquet feels "dead" at low tensions. Higher tension -> comes alive. (for me) I have a 1st gen 2U.. I really want to try the 2nd gen 3U ><
Racket plus the bag , it's able to store ard 5 racket max , the bag was posted before in this thread , I asked for an unstrung racket... They do string for overseas order though...
Not tried the 2nd Gen yet - still unstrung. Will try string it this Weekend for comparison. Was sticking with 1st Gen till I get a good feel, but It won't harm anything!
Ur welcome , the parcel I received on the 3rd day after posting from HK, just curious , did u wipe out all the balance stock ?
in my fantasy "DHL delivery man knocks on door, your package has arrive sir, please sign here, item description: MIZUNO TC700 10 pieces " yeah yeah... in my dreams... haha. no way i can make a dent in their stocks. i regret not buying the racket when i was in changsha 1 yr ago. it was on the onsly shop among 15 plus shops in row selling MIZUNO rackets exclusively. if not wrong price was $170 SGD after conversion. walk in price, no negoations done yet.
