After exciting some 1st rounder yesterday with only 3 upsets, we go into day 2 in Paris with the remaining 1st round and some of 2nd round. Some exciting matches : Brice Leverdez v Dicky Palyama Bae Seung hee v Cheng Shao Chieh Febe v Eriko Hirose

I think BSH will avenge her defeat to CSH in Taipei I will be very interested to see how WYH fares against Porntip. She is no pushover. I think Alvent/Hendra (INA) v Hendri/Hendra (SIN) will be a lot closer than what most expect. At least a Hendra makes it through Eriko v Febe will be a tight one with a possible upset on the cards.
Dicky has the H2H advantage but Brice has the local support. It should be an interesting match but I'm rooting for the French. Will Bae avenge her 2 consecutive losses in the finals of Taipei Open? Koreans normally perform better in big occasions. Bae in 2 tight games. Febe won their sole encounter in Taipei last year but I'll say Eriko in 3. Porntip is a potential banana skin for WYH. You know who I'll be cheering for.
Another big match: Nova/Lilyana vs Frans/Pia.. Febe vs Eriko I think febe will lose,she need more tourneys to adapt with her attacking play.. simon vs wacha no problem i think for simon.. :all the best:
All I can say is "Allez Brice". He made a very good impression with his performances in North America in July
Nova/Butet should ease through I've seen Eriko fall flat on her face before (not literally of course ), that's why I sense it could be a tight match Simon in a canter.
Cheng Shao Chieh has had the experience in WC semifinals before, in 2005. So I would vote against BSH this time. As for Porntip, well she fell flat against a not so good Lu Lan in Singapore. Can't see her doing the Juliane Schenk-thing on Wang Yihan.
