TH was not trying to say that CJ modified/damaged all the shuttlecocks used

    .
At that time, CJ was already leading TH 9-4 in Game 2.

Surely, TH was not trying to say that CJ has modified or damaged all the shuttlecocks used during their match, up to that time.:eek::eek:

Was TH accusing CJ for manipulating the shuttlecock?

    .
No, what I was trying to say was TH thought he wanted to change the shuttlecock because there was something wrong with it; not that he was accusing CJ for manipulating it.

For the last statement, if it were true, and of course I would not doubt his integrity, that does not mean he is correct all the time he loses his temper. There is always the possibility of a mistake or mistaken assumption.

It's a good point. Perhaps there was a bad batch of shuttles. Whatever, a change of shuttle characteristics (if any)would affect both players.

Now I understand. TH claim that there was something wrong with that batch of shuttlecock and he wanted to change them, nothing to do with CJ. We are all barking at the wrong tree. Then, thread can be closed. Peace. Thanks for your great observation, Chris.

Yeah, maybe some bad ones escape the quality control.

Video was posted and based on that, Chris has concluded that TH was complaining that some of the shuttles were not up to the mark and wanted action to be taken, maybe change or repair them, nothing to do with the players themselves. It was the shuttlecock.:)

Whatever lah ... anyway Taufik lose and Chen Jin win the match. Does it really matter anymore whether the shuttlecock is good or not?

LOL, Chris, you can say that again. Get ready with this line, you may need to copy and paste several times or maybe trademark it.

so? if taufik really only say shuttle something wrong...

    then the scenario would be:

taufik and chen jin innocent all the while?

taufik complained to umpire shuttle not good

umpire thought taufik was delaying time and also

    some misunderstanding about shuttle manipulation

    thus no action taken.

commentator added some heat into it

the whole world thinks taufik wanted to change shuttle because

    chen jin manipulated it

    umpire refused

but warn chen jin later not to get too close with his fingers to the shuttle

and we all here for what?

    Coach, may I add a little :
but warn chen jin later not to get too close with his fingers to the shuttle lest he would damage it more (and we are running out of shuttlecocks).

I was wondering, when you heard something from the commentator, then you just believe what the commentator says is true? And so, this thread was created. But, what the commentator says may not be true all the time. I heard GC given some wrong info about the chinese players before. Just because GC says something like this, then the issue has arised? From the video, GC says that: is taufik saying that cj is ... through the shuttle somehow? She is unsure. Then the IW says: I think he suspects CJ is trying to slow the shuttle down. He thinks only, he is unsure too.

Wow, you can hear what the umpire saying? I only can hear both Taufik & umpire mumbling. Oh, it's that 'super strict' umpire from India me thinks, gave out red cards before.
