The Smash Wide 2 has a design which is different from the rest of the field. Yes, it is 4E.
I wouldn't say it's too wide. It's the same as my 5 months-old SHB-101. Maybe it has been stretched quite a bit.

I got it from www.sohubuy.com for HKD 478 (not inclusive of shipping and 6% service charge).
It should work out to be RM250 after all in.
The price is pretty reasonable IMO.

To be on the safe side, just make sure the value is not more than RM500.
Even if the actual value is more than that, ask the seller to put a lower price at the invoice.
    Indicate as 'gift' as well.

    Been googling, and found this.

So perhaps it's because you only ordered 1 pair, so it's tax exempt. Maybe also because it's worth < RM 500/-, though I couldn't find any official documents on that.

From experience, marking it as 'gift' doesn't work. I once received a jersey via FedEx from my employer in UK, marked as gift with a commercial value of GBP 450/-, and I was taked 20% on it.

Actually I have ordered 3 items and the total price is more than RM500.
But I have requested the seller to put a lower price on the invoice.

I did have the same experience from being taxed by the custom. In fact, it happened to me twice.
In both cases, the items were more than RM500. I bought some sneakers from online store. Unfortunately, it is their policy to put the original price on the invoice.

If sent by Courier service it will always be taxed. They declare it themselves for Customs to speed up the process ... The taxfree limit on gifts is only 40GBP (was 36) in the EU.

Thanks for the info. Where can I find details on tax free limits for other countries?

I have only tried the Wave Smash Wide 2 on and have not used it for any game. But the SHB-65CF is for sure the lightest compared to the Wave Smash Wide 2 and SHB-101.

    Hi Barca,
I have one more question for you. Which one is lighter between Wave Smash Wide 2 and SHB-101? Because I do own SHB-101M and Mizuno Mastercross XX2.

    Thx

I would say the SHB-101M is a tad lighter than Wave Smash Wide 2.

Thank you. I might consider going for SHB-65CF then.

If you are looking for a light shoe, you could try the SHB91M, they are lighter than the SHB101M. Have a look if your interested.
