Definitely a smoke and mirror intented for Malaysian fans to shield the blame on BAM from another pending disappointment of LCW disaster under Lin Dan. Just like in the 2010 WC when LCW lost to Taufik, it was due to back injury and LCW's doctor proposed immediate surgery but a miraculously recovery helped LCW to beat lin dan in 3 long games.

i dun think so, even world team will get waxed by Team China

MS1 - Lin Dan (Olympic champion) vs. Datuk Lee (Super Dan will thrash latok).
    WINNER - SUPER DAN
MS2 - Chen Jin (World Champion) vs. Taufik
    WINNER - CHEN JIN
MS3 - Chen Long vs. Peter Gade
    50/50
    MD1 - Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng vs. whoemver
    Storm warriors to win

China does not have a strong MD2..(Xu Chen- GZD or Chai Biao-Zhang Nan)

One point for World team 1, still get creamed by China 4-1

    Are you sure?
MS1 - Will be a tough fight in this hypothetical situation. LCW's is a very patriotic guy, so his main weakness when facing LD is when he perceives his match to have national significance. If playing for a China vs World team match, he will give LD at least a tough fight.
MS2 - CJ definitely to win? I don't think so.
MD1 - Just because KKK/TBH haven't figured how to handle them this year, doesn't mean that CY/FHF are invincible.

TCS is injured, he's not going AG. CKB & Liew Daren will be the 3rd & 4th MS, not necessarily in that order.

Will Team SIN survive through Q Final in both individual and team events, interesting eh?;) Or lighting could strike team SIN once again when the entire team got wiped out/federal ex-ed(the official team logo of team CHN) in the 1st round of the AE championship few years back, back then team SIN was led by Li yujia and Xing aiying, LI LI , RS and the local lad(forget his name)who won the Fortune~cookie open, Opps i mean the US Open:p

2010 Asian Games: How many Badminton GOLD titles can distributed?

    .
From our BCers' posts/comments, could we say that 6 titles could go to CHN, and the other one could go to either IND, INA, KOR or MAS?

yup, it is very difficult to predict the outcome, maybe CKB or liew daren will spring a surprise or two by beating their more fancied opponents

    Susi Susanti endorses Maria Febe

JAKARTA, Kompas.com - Women single of Indonesia failed miserably at the Indonesia Open Grand Prix Gold 2010. In the 120,000 U.S. dollars tournament, which had ended on Sunday (17/10/10), the host was unable to place its representatives in the final sector. Results in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, it must be very worrying, because it shows the achievements of Indonesian women players are still sinking.

Furthest step that made Indonesia the player is to reach the semifinals. Players Pelatnas Cipayung, Maria Febe Kusumastuti, being the only representative who qualify for the last four. Unfortunately, this second seed dijegal young Thai players, Rathanok Inthanon, which eventually became the champion (in the final to win 21-12, 19-21, 21-16 over fourth seed from Taiwan, Cheng Shao Chieh).

However, Susi Susanti remain optimistic that Indonesia can rise up the women's singles. Queen of the badminton world this era of the 1990s looked forward to Mary Phoebe, to restore the great name of badminton, Indonesia (especially single women).

"My prediction, Mary Phoebe could be a good future player. His achievement may be better than Maria Kristin Yulianti," said Susie to Kompas.com, Monday (18/10/10).

There's a reason why Susie said so. Olympic gold medalist in 1992 Barcelona is explained, in addition to the age of the young Maria Febe, players born in 30 September 1989 it also has two advantages that could be a capital to be a world player.

"I see, the potential that exists in Maria Febe is footwork (movement of the foot) is good. In addition, he also has not experienced an injury like that clamped Maria Kristin. So, my prediction, Maria Febe can achieve better results," added Susie , who throughout his career won four All-England title.

"Now, just how to nurture and guide him to reach higher achievement," said Susi, who also presented a bronze at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

I guess you meant MS instead WD  as we know WD title always grabbed by CHN pair in almost all bdm tourneys.
