Men's doubles: Possibly but Cai/Fu have to potentially take down Jung/Lee, Kido/Setiawan and Koo/Tan.
Men's singles: Not likely unless Lin Dan is not yielded for team event as Lin Dan can't play high-level badmnton for 2 consecutive weeks.

I think LD will be fielded sparingly in the team event to preserve him for the individual one. He may play 2 or possibly one match only. I guess it will depend on how the draw unfolds

Markis -Hendra pair have not been performing well lately, probably due to MK's injury.. i don't see them winning the gold this time..

 

Kido Ready to "Bleed" for Indonesia

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Players doubles specialist, Markis Kido, promised to try to play as good as possible at the Asian Games despite facing many obstacles in its preparation. ..depends how one defines "high-level badminton"..Last time i noticed, despite different results, LD checked in, in both of this yr's China Master SS and Japan Open SS Final Rds., in back to back weeks..

 

Actually, only LCW at the moment has the potential to make LD at his best(full motivation) work hard, provided that LCW also plays his best. Probably, LD won't even need to play high-level badminton to breeze past the team event, as Malaysia (LCW) with a rather weak team this time will find it tough to get past South Korea. LCW should only play one less match than LD himself.
Therefore, I would say that LD meeting LCW would not give much of an advantage to LCW, despite LD having played one match more as simply put, he can breeze past his opponents except LCW.

Regarding the main topic : At the World Championships, people say that it's simply impossible to grab all 5. Even I doubted it, and thought the most they would get is 4. Well, they have proved me wrong. Now, 7 is definitely not impossible and I am believing that a total, clean sweep is possible from China.

Yup, but since LCW is competing, we assume that at the worst we should be able to pull off a 3-1 win, as Hafiz might have difficulties meeting Tanongsak.

 

Precisely, different results...LD didnt win both. You know very well that AG is like TC + WC Asia version. We shall see how LD copes this AG if he plays all the team matches.

I don't think CHN will win 7, losing either MS or MD...5 is a done deal...I predict 6 gold and the 6th gold would come from MS or MD...I am saying MS for CHN is 50-50, even though LD is still the favorite to win at home...CHN MD is on a 4-tournament winning streak, to score a 5th win, of course it is possible playing at home but CY/FHF IMO is due for a fall, and that is why I don't think they can win, also in MD the field is very competitive and depends on who is in top form will probably win it.
But I would not bet against CHN cleaning all 7 and banning myself.....
