Well we can't always have what we want ;) Zhao Yunlei seems to be in great shape, so maybe they can take the title, but I'm pretty convinced HHB/YY will win against the Koreans....

Of course I voted....6 golds to CHN....also, I said CHN MD is the missing gold cos CY/FHF already won 4 straight SS, I doubt they do a 5th...not that they are not good, they are good but the laws of probability of consecutive 5 wins.

I think China would still be happy with winning 5 or 6 Badminton GOLD medals.

In the Team Events, China has won 2.

In the Individual Events, China has won another 2; the Womens Singles and Womens Doubles, although missing out in the Mens Doubles title.

In the Mens Singles and Mixed Doubles, China has a good chance to capture these 2 titles.

..wow, that's a first for me, "laws of probability of consecutive 5 wins"!
Btw, CY & FHF have only won 2 straight SS (they attended the AE and KO SS this yr, but lost both); before they won the 2 SS, they won the WC..so, maybe you want to rename the theory to "laws of probability of consecutive 4 wins"??..;)

Typo...probability tells us they are not likely to pull a 5th straight, and as you said and I said previously too, MD is very evenly contested...not clear favorite...who peak on game day has the edge to win.

That is exactly what I meant...4 straight high level tournaments...SS, WC, whatever.

2010 Asian Games Individual Event: Could Korean XD pair take a Gold medal from China?

    .
In the Mixed Doubles, the Korean pair (Shin Baekcheoul/Lee HyoJung) has just defeated the China pair (He Hanbin/Ma Jin) at the Semi-Finals.

The Koreans will be facing China pair (Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei) at the Final.

Could the Korean XD pair take a Gold medal from China?

I'm rooting for ZN/ZY, and they seem to be in good shape - and their semifinal was less taxing than that of SBC/LHJ, I hope that makes a difference :p
    Zhang/Zhao for Olympics 2012! :D

Hehe. I'm still hoping the Chinese combination will prevail :D But yeah, all the best to LCW - he really deserves to win this, but LD is gonna be hard to beat. He seems to be in great shape, didnt peak as early as Fu/Cai....and winning the semifinal in straight games will only boost his confidence even more...
