Federer is lucky than LCW, has a window to win a lot before Rafa came to light...

poor LCW, had TH in first half and LD in the second half of his career...

Congratulations to Lin Dan he is a true testimony of the "Greatest Badminton Player of All Time"! From day one he was already bound for greatness and at this point in time having won ALL the major titles that the world of competitive badminton has to offer; Olympics, World Championships, All England Open, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, and now the Asian Games gold medal, no one can deny that he is by far the most complete badminton player of all time. ONly time can tell if another champion will be born to better the greatness of Lin Dan...

But in 90-s there are names like Bekker Sampras and Agassi and still many other players were winning big prizes. Other truth is the fact that 2002-2005 years are "dark" years in tennis, no rivalry at all

LD said something interesting in the post-match press conference:

" I think whoever took the champion today, this was the best match in AG. LCW played very hard, I am lucky to take this gold medal. I respect LCW very much, he's very tough, very outstanding, he's a very good player."

"LCW was very outstanding today, there was great pressure on both of us today. we are both worth of recognition (appreciation). I have not yet thought of the next target, want to take a rest, to adjust my physical and mental status (the excitement), in order to engage in forthcoming competitions. this may be my last AG. but of course i would wish that if next time I still have good form to play another AG."

    and something about XXF, TXH.

not good enought in Chinese to translate the whole staff... anyone to try??

She announced it at the interview right after winning the gold medal.

She said she wants to focus on getting her master's degree and I think she's also getting married.

I'm very happy for her but still...such a loss for Korea!

Even if she doesn't retire, don't think she will partner LYD again.
