Aiya, don't be too disappointed with LCW la. I know you want the best for him but sadly its almost impossible with superb Lin Dan around.

Lin Dan is just better. it's not really the wrong timing, LCW's form comes with confidence. He has to sustain that confidence to beat Lin Dan, and hope that Lin Dan is not playing godlike. I don't think anyone else could have beaten Lin Dan, let alone take a game off him on that night.

Jimbo may be Namewee under an assumed name in BC.

Incidently, have you ever heard any of our athletes shouting that word bxxxh on Astro ?

I think it is past its shelf life and no longer carry any more meanings, unless to Mr.Qs.

FYI I did watch the match and that's why I can say with authority that LCW didn't have the mental strength to counter LD. A very telling sign is how LCW wipes his sweat from his brow. If he feels confident he usually flicks it away nonchalantly but otherwise he wipes it away. When you lose confidence you also automatically run out of ideas and gas. It's all down to the strength of your mind.

I do cherish LCW and I appreciate his dedication to his sport and loyalty to his nation but I can't help but feel frustrated every time he falls short.

    Maybe I'm asking too much.

I truly believe LCW is a special player that can only appear once in many years. With all his ability, fitness and skill. Leaving the rest of the world so far behind and taken badminton to a whole new level.

I wholeheartedly think LCW deserve to be the KING OF BADMINTON.

It is just a misfortune for him that the GOD OF BADMINTON also born in his time.....

Please look at the match again. IMO, LD gave the 2nd set away.

LCW was always taking the shots late. Maybe he was tired and/or normally slower (I'm not sure) but he needs to improve on this. There are many instances at the net that LD just taps for a winner. LCW manage to retrieve net shots but always at a lower position than LD. Technique is there but if he intercepts the shots earlier, maybe he won't be caught in difficult situations as frequently as he did in the AG final. And maybe he don't have to be so hardworking. LD was really playing very lazily (or maybe that's his style :)).

Between CJ and LD, LCW played 6 sets and sick when AG started....LD played 2 sets in SF....I am not saying LD won because LCW played more, that was the luck of the draw...LD was the better player and he won, and onto being the greatest champion in badminton history winning them all. I am referring to your comment that LCW ran out of gas (how rare), well, even a super fit fella cannot 'tahan' 6 sets against 2 of the best players in the world.

Yep, LD made a smart decision to conserve energy in latter half of G2. So in G3, LD was fresher and had the speed advantage to force LCW into making mistakes. If LD had tried to win in 2 games but did not make it (as with CJ), G3 would not have been so easy for him. Between both, whoever's fresher wins. CJ had done his part.

LOL don't get so worked up man.

It's just the truth, he was so nervous and he tried to shout very loud once in the first set and

once in the 3rd set to show some confidence and motivation.

    Now, now don't be angry,

well all know the categories of your response and what the intricate details of your little

bisections and anomalies all point to in the end....

Don't try to be so mysterious next time.

Be more up front, just like you would for your friend Misbun.

    lol

So how do you explain all the CHN WS nowadays shouting, squealing, shrieking after winning a point? (Best example : WSX- pretty face, vocal horror.)

They are doing the same, trying to calm themselves, boost confidence and self motivate.
WSX was desperate to win too, no one is promoting her crazy shrieking.
