yes, there seem to be a difference with txh's presence.

it sure turns things around especially the motivation part.

but do the legend really needs him?

sadly yes, lin dan needs him.

if not, it will be like japan open 10 when he lost in the final.

somebody please tell me it has nothing to do with the mental part!

somehow when ld sees txh, its just like seeing the general, lol

LD for all the achievement that he has made over the years, is still a wild beast. a wild beast left to the own devise will always be a wild beast that can on occasionally get out of control. he needs a proper trainer like TXF to tame him, gets him in focus, in control, and composed to unleash his fullest potential.

I agree too. Mr Thing Hien Hiow is the factor in LD's continued success. THing keeps him focus. Rebukes him when he is emotional. In TC 08 when things were going wrong, LD kept looking at Thing for guidance but LCW was just in the zone that time and LD was calm when thing were going wrong. IF Thing wasnt there, his game would have faltered especially during tight situation.

Mr Thing comes with very fine credentialls having coached a string world champions both men and women in Indonesia, his 1st love unrequitted.

And he was instrument in turning the CHN mens doubles department around with a little of Indonesian playing culture and tactics married to CHinese power and efficiencies.

aside from his coaching ability, credentials and technical merits, the one thing that most stands out about TXF is that he is absolutely respected by everyone in the team, including LYB. TXF speaks and even the most wild of LD listens.

..you're partly right..;)..check this video out at 1:31..;)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4rXdsvIgG0
..hmm, there you go, a god & reasonable point: only when LD faces LCW..but check out pjswift's example..;)
..there you go, good take!..perhaps it only matters in "big" or major tourneys (OG, TC, AG)
Check this out, XXZ was sitting alone in the coaching chair when LD won last yr's AE against LCW...hmm, figure that one out..:eek:..
This has been brought up & discussed before with a few still believing TXH's presence sitting behind LD, whilst he played, made a big difference to LD's outcome..;)..should we credit XXZ as well??..;)
..yep, TXH was definitely there sitting at the coaches' chair..hmmm..
..no doubt TXH has done wonders with LD. But the original notion was to point abt whether TXH's presence (sitting at the coaches' chair while LD plays) is a factor to LD's success. The truth is, it's not true all the time (what renbo pointed out).
