It's just sickening the way people heap abuse on LCW. Calling him zero and pouring scorn on his world ranking. It's not as if he petitioned the BWF to give him the ranking. He earned it by winning all those SS titles. Doesn't the AE title count for anything? Sure it's frustrating for us fans when he falls short at some hurdle and I'll be the first to admit that I was hugely disappointed after the AG MS final but to ridicule him like that is overly childish and uncool. I'd like to see all those who make such snide comments about LCW get their sorry butts onto the court and see how well they do.

It's so easy to be critical and fault-finding in the comfort of ones home but the poor guy is out there busting his guts to scale the heights and all we can do is belittle his every effort and achievements. Does anyone seriously think it's easy to get all those wins under your belt? Sure they may not be major titles but then they were not handed to him on a silver platter either. He still had to go out and earn them, with or without LD around.

LCW is not the most naturally gifted player we have but through sheer hard work and determination he has managed to carve himself a very respectable career, one that ALL Malaysians should be proud of. Is there any other Malaysian shuttler in the last 20 years who has even come close to achieving what he has? Not even the Sidek brothers in their prime - combined - can match his record. But all I read is condemnation and cynicism. It's truly unfair to dismiss all that he has done just because he didn't win the one gold medal.

In my opinion LCW deserves our (Malaysian) respect and admiration for all the effort and passion that he applies to his sport even if he never wins the WC or OG. He has brought no small measure of spotlight on Malaysian badminton. If there were no LCW around Malaysian badminton on the world stage would definitely be non-existent.

    .
    Hear, hear.

I hope it is only Malaysian BCers who are critical and fault-finding. I hope that the general Malaysian public give LCW more encouragement.

Actually there are many non-Malaysian BCers giving praises to LCW; They see that he has put in great effort every time at tournaments.

that's what I said many times, many many so-called BCers are not treating this forum as "Badminton Central" but "B(else) Central"... Biased Central, Bxxxx Central.... but never Badminton Central...

even he's not a deserved No.1, CW is at least No.2, just second to one and top of thousands... why treat this as a shame?

if No.2 is a shame, how about those thousands below him??? are people suggesting them to quit badminton??? crazy...

Hope the backhand whip from LD wakes him up a little and don't do anymore school boys errors on the first 11 3rd game. ;)

Hiyaa pbm, dont start again lah. You should read some of the readers comments in Berita Harian, they ask LCW retire some more. LOL, if LCW retire now, Msia's chance of winning SS also big problem.

Nice one coach pBm aka the guru that spends more time on forums than actual coaching hahaha.
Love to copy and dig up old posts aye? why don't you do somethings more original or is that too hard to think of for yourself lol!!?

Yo don't you think that was a prophecized message? Anything wrong with the predictions? So nice of you to take things out of context and try to manipulate it for your advantage.

You should know quite well now, trying to play a silly game against other members ain't gonna work such as the failed plan you tried on cooler that was exposed by our friend Mr.T in the Bam thread :).

Let me ask you some simple questions and see if you have the face to answer them.
Are TC and AG majors? Did Lin Dan say his focus this year was winning the Thomas Cup for China this year and also the Asian Games?

Did he deliver? Who did he thrash en route to his goals?
Who is the player that is complaining about this and that injuries from back, finger, knee, ankle, wrist to the flu and virus?

Would you not describe that player as having a cracked or creaking body?

Your post obviously directed at me cos I posted that also 8+ months ago in another thread of which posters like you were saying LD is finished etc. Why else would you post that specific post up? To garner support for your righteous deeds?

Sigh do you really want to start this old quote digging up business?

I will not be surprised if this close is closed soon as it has already served its purpose and latest posts are not even adding anything except for petty bickerings.
