I think I will go there at a later stage, maybe Thursday. I hope some of the INA players will still be around for me to take some pics. Like you, I don't know even most of the SIN players, since they're still so young, except for the U17 & U19 perhaps.
Alamak! I thought I could meet up with you and your friends again. Maybe I will be there on Thursday.
BS U15 Round 2 Winners With the results of two later matches involving TPE, SIN ( 2) & INA unavailable this morning, the countries BS U13 position stand as follows: 1. MAS (8) 2. TPE (7) 3. SIN (7) 4. THA (3) 5. INA (2) 6. AUS (1), SRI (1) & PHI (1) Therefore MAS, TPE and SIN have the most number still in the running into Round 3. But even with one player still in the race, he could be the eventual champion if he is a very good player!
yah you're right, but I'm not too sure Indonesia bs15 win this, because players like jonathan christie, andrew susanto, etc do not participate. I see so far singapore players still look good journey in this tournament
Hey kawan, tahan sikit lah. The summary of the results today of representatives entering the next round (R32): BS U17 1. INA (10) Wah my young INA friend maknyos will be very happy! 2. THA (9) 3. TPE (6) 4. SIN (4) 5. IND (10, MAS (1) and HKG (1) GS U15 1. INA (9) Maknyos smiling so happily, I can only see his white teeth, not his eyes. 2. MAS (6) 3. SIN (5) 4. THA (4) 5. TPE (3) 6. HKG (2) 7. PHI (1), IND (1) & SRI (1) INA seems to be very strong for now.
The 2 BD U-17 pairs from PB Djarum Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Arya Maulana Aldiartama and Jeka Wiratama/Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho have progressed to R32. Both will face TPE opponents tomorrow.
Arya Maulana ALDIARTAMA Kevin Sanjaya SUKAMULJO - Chatarin JARUWAST Matee VEJJANUGHARA 22-24 21-13 21-19 good finishing form arya/kevin
i dont think that ina camp is strong enough.. like for u-17 and u-15, tangkas club just send 3rd tier shuttlers. panji akbar is the best one for BS U-17. a serial qf-ist and some sf-ist in sirnas u-19 for BD it looks good with the appearance of kevin/arya and jeka/raffi. let see, jeka/raffi are still 14 yo, but has already competed in u-17. credit to jaya raya... they send lya and ruselly... let see, how far they do in this tournament...
Honestly, I am only interested in following the progress of the BD pairs: 2 from Djarum and 1 from Jaya Raya (Hafiz Faizal/Putra Eka Rhoma).
My friends and I were impressed with this kid from PB Djarum - Surya Purnamasidi. He looks like baby face Sony and has very good technique and footwork. http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...D1AD58-64D5-42CA-93E4-7B78FB687228&player=118
ari yuli wahyu, coach from pb djarum has ever said in his blog that in his age, Surya's technical akill has already quite mature. he can make some amazing shots also... early in this year, he became the winner in National Circuit U-12, although he just came from a small and unknown club. later, in july (this year), he joined the pb djarum audition and finally won the scholarship. Let see, how far he can do in this tourneys
thanks for your input. yes he has a few trick shots which caught the opponent off-guarded and has a backhand which put me to shame haha... i certainly enjoyed watching him play
haha... i wanted to say about his backhand (just like quick round moving backhand or something) but i dont know how to say it in english
BS U13 R32 14 Dec 2010 I was there last evening past 7 pm. Six courts were played on simultaneously and it was difficult to concentrate on all the action on court. The BS U13 had commenced not too long ago and they were behind time as the first match was scheduled at 6.20 pm. Despite the rain earlier on, Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall was steaming and the TPE coach near whom I was seated had to use his Chinese paper fan to cool himself down. His U17 doubles girls would have to wait much longer for their turn to play. I was attracted to the match between Ryan Ivano INA and Mark Shelley Alcala PHI which Ivano won in three hard-fought games 21-11, 15-21, 21-18 despite great vocal support from the Philippines section at the corner. It was the longest match which took 48 mins to complete. So the Philippines had put up some creditable players and they cannot be considered the whipping boys of the tournament now. I think SRI (Sri Lanka) will need to shape up more from what I can see of their players. Another match which deserved mention was the second longest one lasting 40 min between Julian Chin MAS and Sherwin Ng SIN. Despite a great height advantage against the diminutive and bespectacled Sherwin, Julian was made to toil longer than necessary when he lost the first game 24-26. But he made good during the second and final games, 21-12, 21-11. Some pics taken of our young players:
Picture number 8 and 9 is Wiranto, who play in BS U13. This is his blog : http://wirantogho.blogspot.com/ this is written in the top of his blog: "Bulutangkis adalah hobiku. Pelatnas adalah impianku. Pemain internasianal adalah cita -citaku. Terima kasih kepada pelatih dan keluargaku yang telah mendukungku." which mean "Badminton is my hobby.Pelatnas is my dream. As an international players is my future goals. Thanks for my coach and family who have supported me."
