Upset List . Yes, I have been always wondering who would be our next BCer to re-start our 'Upset List'. It good that our Loh wants to do it. .
Really? Frankly I didn't know it was started before and somehow lapsed. No wonder our Eagle emphasized it. Now tell us your pick.
There was a Crazy Simon supporter in the Stadium yesterday, shouting insults to the chinese team and getting booed hardcore Simon was much faster than Chen Jin yesterday and Chen Jin somewhat lost focus, including a complete overhead airshot (under no pressure at all). He was also a little upset about a line call in which he argued against the unpire for a couple of minutes.
Simon is expected attack more while Alamsyah is to defend . If Alamsyah defeats Simon today, it would be through better fitness and stamina. If Simon defeats Alamsyah, it would be through power and speed. IMHO, Simon is expected attack more while Alamsyah is to defend. Who is better at net play?... IMHO, it would be Alamsyah. Who is more deceptive?... IMHO, it would be Simon. .
Different layer, not player. Alamsyah last year achievements was quite stable at GP/GPG/IC level (layer). Alamsyah' physical is relatively small. So he is a rally kind of player with good defense and net play. He provided as less as possible mistake. ofcourse he has to be agile and fast although it will be hard to match LCW/CJ/SS speed considering his height. I guess he is around 165 cm. Not really sure though.
World Rankings/Standings to make comparisons . It was eaglehelang doing it first, then limsy, and now you. When they were doing it, they were using World Rankings/Standings to make comparisons. .
My Pick for UPSETS Let me try my luck. I think the following will win in QF: 1. Nielsen/Pedersen (XD#6) over Zhang/Zhao (#3) 2. Tago over Taufik (MS#2) (Highly controversial, but we like underdogs ) 3. Wang/Yu (WD#6) over Nedelcheva/Russkikh (WD#2) 4. Tao Jiaming/Qing Tian (XD#5) over Chen/Cheng (#4) 5. Cho/Kwon over Ahsan/Septano (MD#6) 7. Lin Dan (MS#5) over Chen Long (#3) 8. Du/Pan (WD#5) over Cheng/Chien (WD#1) 9. Sari/Yao over Tian/Zhao (WD#8) (Highly biased hope ) 10. He/Ma (XD#7) over Ko/Ha (#2) 11. Conrads Petersen/Rasmussen over Chandra/Gunawan (MD#3) I have exceeded the "magical 7"!
Upset: Lin Dan (MS#5) over Chen Long (#3) . Let's wait for LD's fans coming in to criticise you on Item No.7; Lin Dan (MS#5) over Chen Long (#3) BTW, where is Item No.6? .
Sorry I though "layer" was a typo error and I did not catch your original meaning. Now I understand better. But I thought SS is also a relatively short player and not much taller than Alamsyah, if at all. I saw them in action in S'pore and elsewhere, more of SS though. As in his match against CJ, SS is pretty steady and fit to be able to last longer than CJ. So SS must be quite equal to Alamsyah in these departments and I suspect SS's power play will determine the winner.
Haha, did you say "criticise"? I thought they're on my side being LD fans! Or are you referring to Chen Long fans? Are there more CL fans versus LD fans?
I started becoming a fan of the Thai players ever since watching that at 2010 Victor SSF in Taiwan.. Sudket/Saralee's offense in mixed... Boonsak's .... Boonsak.. I like Songphon and Kunchala's mixed too... Their style of mixed is rather interesting!! Except Sudket and Saralee's performance in the finals against Zhao/Zhang was appalling... >_<" And now they got knocked out first round! Sigh... well Japan's doing alright in the MD/XD/WD events I think?
