One last thing. If you are going to open your post with "It seems that logic and sense are somewhat lacking in some posts" it really is incumbent on you to sight one or two such posts and offer a logical and sensible rebutal rather than following such a statement with a post that is filled with nothing more then your own speculation and bit of nonsense.

Ya, you are right, the ultimate motive :)

Lin Dan sat down there and watch lcw played until the final,

A good strategy and planning by the once again, infamous you know who :D

In fact, I mentioned if it's real injury cba should let Lin Dan rest to recover the injury

    And skip Korea open :D

As there isn't any known treatment for such an injury for such a short time :D

It is quite obvious that in CO, LD (or higher authority) gave way for more junior player to gain points.
In HO, LD (or higher authority) don't want to play against LCW (same like in MO).
Isn't that make sense to you?

Honestly, do U think the result will be somehow different if LD was fielded instead of CL? IMHO, LCW will still chalk up with a win

Good question! Imho, in sports, everything can happens.
But the question is, what can happens if one player DO NOT want to play against another?

I think after 3 withdrawals they MAY be linked to allowing junior players to swim in the deep end

against the masters, LD is doing his part of team building and giving back to CBA what CBA gave to him.

But if he just withdrew when he was up to play non-team members and LCW was waiting then it is a different conclusion and definitely damaging.

I think all these is really hype, it was true in boxing decades back when Mike Tyson,Holyfield etc played a lot of hide and seek,

causing the promoters to up the purse many times. Possibly may be linked to CBL. i think the ultimate meeting might be in the CBL after they build everything to a high suspense. Let's hope gambling is not involved (I dont think so).

I think both LCW and LD may be enjoying this suspense.

one thing that is always forgotten by the fans, LD is a actually a military soldier and still has a title in army. He once said he is proud of being a soldier, not dare of fighting, but also very discipline and would obey to orders which are good for winning the big battles.

for him, the big battles are whatever benefitial to the whole national team. I read from one of his interview around the AG last year, he said that being the senior member of the team, he firmly believes that he now also bears the responsibility of raising younger team-mates, apart from winning games that matter to the national team when necessary.

his latest WOs is just reflecting your statement above. SS are nothing to them except training grounds, just look at how CHN team change various partning in the doubles...

this is a matter of value judgement, like it or not. And I guess they would still exploit the rules to work towards their benefit.

it's a blight on the sport if LD is withdrawing for any reason other than being physically unable to play. We (badminton fans) want our sport to be ranked amongst the worlds best, but while associations control many of the results, the sport will not be taken seriously.

How much the total combined price of CO, HO and MO?? Not enough to get LD as motivated as KO price?? OK lets see what happens, if LD ends up beating a CHN MS on his way to the KO title, then you are right.

    Not in every sport definitely.

Try doing that in tennis and it will be the end of the tennis career.

The MS draw for KO. shows no China player in LD's half, they are all in LCW's half.

LD is with Taufik & gade.

    Now on to KO thread.
