It will be a close fight between ld and lcw, there will be no doubt about it.

Ld given he is quite fit in this tournament as he blew ss and th air tank in 3 games.

Lcw on the other hand is playing well but he must not lost focus on ld's before and after service tactics :D

Wow about 8 hrs to go b4 the showdown.

It is like Deja Vu, rundown to rumble in the jungle 1974,

    Mohamad Ali vs George Foreman.

If LCW plays aggressive and attacking game at the start of the bell, he will win. Do not let LD settle down. If he plays defensively, he will surely lose.

Another aspect, depends who wins the toss of the coin and gets to pick the court.

Seriously, LCW is the far better player technically. LCW has better footwork and is faster around the court. I really don't understand why he can't beat LD. It's definitely a psychological thing. The only thing LD may be better than LCW at is power. But LCW's supreme defensive skills should neutralise that.

Probably right since Malaysia always depend on LCW not only for MS but to get a Malaysian flag up during ceremony. Too much pressure for LCW, human afterall. But Lin Dan should be faster when he tries. He just doesn't have any motivation nowadays

its got the makings of an old Jackie Chan kungfu movie too :

Mstr.Lin of the Gang of Four sends out his 3 students to test Mstr.Lee and his students got up-ended except little Wang.

Now Mstr.Lin enters the ring but is physically nowhere near the condition of even the J Open.

What will he come up with? Any surprises in store?

Incidently Ian Wright in his commentary summarised that Simon was able to put up a fight against LD because he is one player

who can see LD"s racquet head clearly and able to predict all his shots. On top of that he has many tricks that sent LD the

wrong way many times. That seemed to me what LCW tried too in Asian Games with his new found skills but did not work.

LD's skills have not changed much,so the key may lie in the mind and the conditions in the hall.

Maybe you didn't watch enough but LD's defense is equal if not better than LCW(maybe because he anticipates very well?), and he almost always gets the upper hand at the net. NETCORDS!!! ARGHH!

coming to a court near you...
    My turn:

WD: WXL/YY over ZYL/TQ. This prediction on an even court. But LYB will decide I guess so it's 50:50
MD: LYD/JJS over BoMo. Just have a feeling the crowd are going to will their heroes to glory
WS: WSX over WYH. By right, WSX should whitewash WYH. But LYB will decide I guess so it's 50:50
XD: TJM/TQ over ZN/ZYL. Should be a close match. But LYB will decide I guess so it's 50:50
MS: LD over LCW. Again, LD is the master of disguise in the early rounds and will let rip in the final. Especially since it's LCW
