I watched the first 5 minutes.

The main improvement you can make is your ready position. Too often whilst waiting for the shuttle your racket is pointing at the floor. This makes you somewhat laboured in retrieving the shuttle when lunging to the side or foreward to the net, your contact point is very low, and you're top heavy, unbalanced. You're taking an extra hop even after a lunge. Point the racket at your opponent, try to contact the shuttle higher, make your lunge slightly longer so that you can recover back more quickly.

Your ready position for overhead forehands also needs some adjustment. As you prepare to hit you're pointing the racket head downwards which seriously affects your timing and consistancy. Think of Usain Bolt's pose after winning, something like drawing back an archers bow, get the racket set and paused ready to fire. Your racket arm should be bent at the elbow with an angle smaller that 90deg, racket head hovering just overhead, elbows up to shoulder height. You're now in a more linear position, in line with the shuttle path. Get the racket paused before you hit.

Following on what coachgary said, I think you may also want to practice getting familiar with the boundaries of the court. You retrieved a number of shuttles that were going out. Knowing the boundaries will help you to conserve your energy and score points as well.

A couple of things I noticed were footwork and preparation. A lot of the time you aren't getting to the shuttle properly with your racquet foot. Sometimes this means you take an additional step with your non racquet foot after hitting the shuttle.

As for preperation - you could get sideways-on to the shuttle a lot sooner (for overheads). This will give more time to unwind when you hit.

I agree with these points. His striking point on overheads is quite low as well.

ah.. I thought you are the other one because you put belgium as your location

after I watched all four, in these untrained eyes, I think most of them are ok
the only advice I can give would be: some of your serve is kinda high which resulted in your opp can do a surprise attack

I do have a lot of advices for your friend though :p

Basically, you need to have your racket in a ready postion all the time, that would really help your clears, smashes and also helps with defending

Don't normally play singles but am beginning to like it.
    Good for keeping fit.
Need to improve on my reaction. :D

My opponent is 17. I'm 3 times his age.
This is a weekly practice game.

I believe you need to make a clear cut rules on roles
I see that you and your partner trying to take all the ball, there is no coordination between you two

and also, when you are at front, you need to lower your body more

    it's a pretty good match :D
you can play against young people :)

Do you play Junior tournaments in your country ? Cause if you don't, honestly I think you should start. From the first couple of minutes (all I have watched so far) you are a very good player.

I am intrigued to see that you use a backhand serve, yet your twin uses a forehand high serve. Of course this is all personal preference, I suppose seeing as he is your twin you will know quite a lot about his game, hence the choice of serve.

Edit: looked at your profile, and you do play junior tournaments, which is good.:)

Which surface is that floor ? Is it carpet ?

You use good variety in your serve, and have a strong backhand. I will give more feedback later after I have watched the rest.

I noticed that you are left handed, and your brother is right handed. (I am also Left handed) are your games usually very close between you and your brother ? Left handers are naturally talented at racket sports:)
