No idea why the chinese players skip this tourney.. Well, this is SS tournament but BAC is not though. Perhaps BAC is held in their home grown, so they think that's more important. Anyway, let's enjoy India Open.

OMG, the average age of the top 4 seeds is 30.5, and slightly better of 28.2 for the top 8.
more like a veteran t'ment, not exactly what i call progress really.

Yeah, MS veterans are not as 'fragile' as WS while young generation of MS are not as progressive as WS.

The younger ones are just not good enough...

    .
Actually, these veterans have been quite steady over the last few years. The younger ones are just not good enough to displace them. :D:D:D

that's excatly the problem. the old boys are on their way down and the young guns are not there yet.
just look at the standard set by LD, TH and PG etc when they were about 20/22!

    Interesting matches:
Ong Jian Guo/Chong Sook Chin vs Jongjit Maneepong/Savitree Amitapai - Can the Thai youngsters defeat the Malaysian pair?
Eriko Hirose vs Firda - Eriko was in bad form last week, can Firda cause quite a big upset?
Lee Hyun-Il vs Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka - Major test for Hayom in my opinion. He has to beat LHI to prove that he has not remained stagnant.
Kazushi Yamada vs Peter Gade - Can KY cause an upset?
Hu Yun vs Alamsyah Yunus - Interesting matchup.
Liew Daren vs Chan Yan Kit - Can Liew Daren keep up his good form? Or will he yoyo down again?

IND are 0-6 so far. But they finally won a game, against Reiko/Shintaro, no less
