With Liliyana Natsir out of the team, the first choice will be Fran Kurniawan Teng/Pia Zebadiah Bernadet and Tantowi Ahmad/Greysia Polii (perhaps?) as the second choice in the Mixed Doubles. It will be an achievement already if this severely weakened line-up can reach the target of SF. INA will even find it difficult to beat MAS next Wednesday.
Well... Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan is a dark horse. They can pull a surprise against KKK/TBH. INA can still beat MAS with XD, and WD for sure and MD as a surprise win.

Pia is not new for team event. She played in Sea Games as single before. I think she is quite good at team event, better than playing individually. Pia can play women doubles to surprise other team with scratch pairing. Tontowi, Frans and Debby probably are not tested yet. Hayom was in Thomas Cup squad but hardly tested. Bona/Ahsan ( especially Ahsan) have experiences in team event.
wah berat nih kawan. Without Butet, It's going to be really hard to take XD point against Top country such as China, Denmark( i heard their XD is quite good as well) Without Markis/Hendra ( MD is going to be our weak link against Malaysia, Korea, China, Denmark) but for Taufik, i think it's a good idea that he pulled out from SC tournament to give more experience to our young player... Hopefully we get a good draw in QF, so we can fulfill the goal of at least semifinal in this tournament... On the bright side, our youngster will have more experience for Olympic games, Thomas and Uber Cup, etc...

it would be hard for indonesian team especially without liliyana natsir in there. their opponents in XD there are vitalij durkin/Nina vislova from rusia and CPS/GLY from malaysia. without natsir, INA have to make a great game from kurniawan/bernadet. they have to show the best of them to fight with hard opponents from rusia and malaysia.
No Taufik? No problem... INA's biggest problem is without Lilyana... Both Taufik and Simon will lost against Lee Chong Wei and Both Taufik and Simon will win against Russian MS
