IMHO, I don't rank the RUS WD pair. They're quirky. I'd take my chances with CEH/WPT to close it out. I don't know why MAS fans doubt this pair. They're a lot better than you think (despite the fact that WPT is coming off an injury sabbatical)

I actually think Malaysia can top the group, I don't think Russia will be the threat at all.

Malaysia to top the group? MS and MD might be two points in MAS' favour, but remember that CEH/WPT has a 0-4 record against INA's GreyMel, CPS/GLY has a 1-4 and 0-2 record against INA's top two XD pairs, and TJY should be nowhere near INA's WS. Topping is impossible.

And it's not impossible to lose to Russia too if their XD beats MAS.

With the recent withdrawals, one might need to revise some of the INA votes

W/O Kido/Hendra and Taufik, I still don't think Malaysia can beat INA.

    Fran/Pia - CPS/GLY 4-1
    GreyMel - CEH/WPT 4-0
TJY still lacks experience, Lydia no consistency.

INA will need the 3 points from XD (Towi/Grace or Fran/Pia), WS (Adriyanti Firdasari), and WD (Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii) to beat MAS. If any of these 3 fail to deliver, MAS will beat INA.

Let's hope that the young INA team can really rise to the occasion despite the adversity they face now.

Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan can win against KKK/TBH in my opinion.

    Found the answer

    .
    OK; Found the answer;

Taufik said on Tuesday (17-May-2011) that he withdrew from the Cup because he believed “a younger shuttler was more deserving of his slot.”

“I think this is the right time for the younger generation to have a bigger role in representing our country in major international tournaments,” he said.

Because of Taufik, the country’s top-ranked men’s singles shuttler, Indonesia earned the No. 3 seed and drew with Malaysia and Russia in Group B.

The top two teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the next round.

Even though Indonesia is a shoo-in to advance past the preliminary round, it could encounter rough sailing in the next stage minus Taufik and mixed doubles shuttler Liliyana Natsir.

Liliyana withdrew from the Cup because of an elbow injury, further hurting the team’s chances in the premier mixed team tournament.

“She sustained the injury during the India Open and it’s getting worse now,” Hadi said.

Hadi Nasri, head of the athletes’ development at PBSI, said that PBSI wouldn’t be allowed to replace Taufik and Liliyana because the deadline for submitting team rosters had passed. He said the team will have to do its best with a lineup of 16 shuttlers. The team is scheduled to fly to China today.

“Losing those stars is really a big blow to us, but we have to live with that. Now it’s time for other shuttlers to prove their worth by fighting hard for the team in China,” Hadi said.

Simon actually dont have a bad record with LCW, if im not mistaken SS lost 3 sets to LCW in their last encounter. And hopefully Bona/Ahsan could beat Koo/Tan once again.

GO young INA force !! Maju Terus Pantang Mundur !!
