Our TV will show only semis and final, and as usual - only fragments, not full team matches. So, do not exepct anything special from here.

By the way, Ella already has one child (about 10 years old, don't know exact ages).:)

As for Nastya, I didn't catch why her home city can be a problem. Besides, she is playing in Denmark for many years already. And she has played for Russian team in Uber Cup, forming a scratch pair (2nd WD). But to match Nina/Lera she needs to play with Petya, that is rather questionable...:)

Still hope we can make bigger upset against MAS: in XD, WS and WD. At least we have chances.:)

Den v Eng line up :

    Fischer/Pedersen v Nathan/Jenny
    Gade v Ouseph
    Jonas/Mads v Ellis/Adcock
    Baun v Cann
    Juhl/Pedersen v white/Jenny

I say it's pretty open in xd, md and wd..

    Tpe v Ind line up

    Lee SM/CYC v Vishnu/Balan
    Hsueh v Kashyap
    LSM/FCM v Thomas/Kumar
    TTY v Saina
    CWH/CYC v Gutta/Ashwini

India looks vulnerable in doubles....so I say its 3-2 or 4-1 for Tpe...:)

Wang Shixian is normally not mentally weak, she just didn't have a good day. Already in set 1 she was making many unchacteristic errors.

Looks like BWF plan for wearing skimpy outfits has a chance to succeed ;). They already forgot about reality :p ...

As one Italian playboy footbal player recently said: In Holland 80% is good looking but in Italy 10% is gorgeous and the other 90% ugly :p. (explaining why he has an Italian gf, you have to fight for those 10% but here the women come after you like men :D)

Errrm ... the point was depending on your standard either 90%, 70% or 20% of the women in Russia are good looking. Of course if your source is a magazine or a tv show or movie you might think it is 90% ;) ...

    It was in 2008.
Also if you remember, Saina was in same level of MKY that time. (MKY defeated Saina, I forgot exactly whether it is in round 16 or another round)
And then, after OG 2008, Maria got injured, and Saina rose until today.

The same case happen with Schenk.
2 years ago, when she was still 2nd GER WS, I thought she just played so so.
And, see now she become another non CHN contender.

IMHO, Gutta/Ashwini is not bad. But, the problem is the rival from TPE will be very difficult to beat.
IND actually could steal point from XD unless Diju V is injured.
My opinion is that IND men double need to be improved for team competition.

I have relatively same prediction with 3-2 or even 4-1 for TPE.

Actually Carolina Marin won last week in the final of the Morocco International Challenge 2011 against Schenk in 2 straight games. Today, she beat Olga Konon in the Spanish Open 2011.

Definetly the future of European WS. :)

yes, I agree. Better to put. Greys/ Tontowi to face MAS pair. However, Greys must be play 2 times and it is high risk for her to save 2 pts, unless in XD is easy game. Alvent/Ahsan also the best pair to face Koo/Tan eventough Bona also look convincing to put in. For MS, I think better if we put Dion since SS can safe his energy for quarter. The opportunity to win over LCW is very thin, unless LCW is not in good condition.

Schenk looked like she was having a lot of fun on court last night. On a good day this girl can beat anyone in the world rankings. What a contrast to Tine Baum, who looked like she was putting too much pressure on herself against England's Cann (though she won the match). She needs to lighten up a bit and actually enjoy playing the game. Baum made it look like competing was a big chore for her. The WD between White/Wallwork and Pedersen/Juhl was a joy to watch. Likewise the one between Ellis/Adcock and Rasmussen/Conrad.
