CehWpt did well to take G1. But why didn t the coach ask them to conserve energy in G2 like MAS MD, HtHTbh? It s tough to play at a high level for 30+ min, esp against strong opponents who are younger.

CehWpt are very skillful. If , in terms of match preparations, they think and plan more about how to be proactive against their opponents, their match outcomes would be positive.

Good effort from TJY as well.

No LCW vs LD match but CHN vs KOR outcome will be anyone s guess. SJY would be fresh enough to play WYH. Will WYH be the third CHN WS to go down?

Should be obvious, they lost against Russia and INA. Against Ko/Ha, very slim chance, KKK/CEH higher chance. I think the coaches were hoping it wouldnt go to WD cos they knew WPT/CEH will lose.

KKK/GLY combo has been tried before during 2010 Commonwealth, but it was KKK/CEH who played & won the gold for Msia then.

True, they won the gold but one year can make a big difference, ceh would be one year older while GLY would be one year more experienced. GLY requires a partner with a bigger smash than CPS can deliver. CPS used to be better, maybe he should just play MD.

Sigh, Why morons like you always showed up?
Wong Tat Met is member of the Pelatnas coaching staff and the head of single coach is Li Mao....they sure aren't produced by INA as well.

MAS can keep Rexy...INA's double will be just fine. ;)

Rexy's brother doing better with Japan's doubles

Rexy is the most successful player among his siblings but as a coach I think his brothers are equally good.

i guess MAS strategy was to get XD, MD & MS as they know WS & WD hardly stand a fighting chance.

A surprise XD was supposed to create an upset. Unfortunately, didn't work out & they knew they're losing it and can only hope for miracle.

Either way, MAS has lower % in winning. At least they tried to win strategically instead of placing expected players/combination each time.

It is easy to say that this gamble went wrong when the results don't go to expectations. There is no guarantee if the Malaysian coaches follow the script mentioned in some comments here, that the end result would be different.

From my standpoint, it was a heartwarming performance dished out by the Malaysian squad. The coaches played their cards based on what they judge is the best form, and I applaud them for that. And the players, although facing relatively superior opposition (other than LCW), played with great spirit.

In the end, this is the best Malaysia can reach in this tournament, which is within touching distance of the top 4, but not quite in the top 4. If no further efforts are done to blood young talents, we might not even reach the top 8 in future

India too has done well here, kudos to Kasyap for saving (yup, saving) the tie against Thailand when Saina was brought down by Ratchanok. But Saina too showed that she could bounce back from disappointment by whacking Wang Xin silly last nite. I couldn't believe the lopsided scoreline ......

A well deserved team Korea victory against mas yesterday. Though is heart breaking to watch Mas gone down 2-3 to Korea, but consider we don't have a good WS player after WMC, and that WPT just back from her injury, i can understand it. But yesterday night, i shouted loudly as if im in the stadium especially CEH were to smash the korean pair.. :D too excited.. when they were leading 20-19 in the 1st set, i shouted till no voice already:p.. Need strepsils to recover my throat.;) Even my neighbour also came out to check what was happening:D LOL..
Anyway, the deserved team is still Korea. They showed a great fighting spirit especially in the WD match,. They manage to come back from 1 set down to beat MAS girls in 3 sets. Hope they can give China a hard time next.

Some pictures of the Korean team hardcore cheering;)
