I live in Mauritius and plan to come over to Singapore for the June badminton open.I would like to know if the tickets are already on sale and where i can get them Thanks and Regards
There s no need to book in advance except for early bird season tickets, but I don t know about booking online. There are plenty of good seats, as long as you re early at the stadium, since it s free seating. The stadium can seat 10,000 and our record breaking final attracted a capacity crowd of 8000, so there s plenty of space to choose from. You will enjoy Singapore Open because here is where underdogs play their best with crowd support. And we are known as the air-conditioned nation because everything is efficient and convenient so you don t have to waste time waiting and can maximize your holiday time.
you can google singapore badminton association or go to sistic website for bookings if you want early bird deals. No need to rush.
Good job philes you will enjoy it!! Tickets won't go out of sale for sure, but I reckon if youre here all the way from mauritius you might want the VIP seats they are awesome you are so close to the action I've been getting those seats for the past 8 years!
the advantage if you buy ticket early it's more economical. you save quite abit on the ticket. i always buy in advance in bulk. i am not sure about online. hope this help. good luck dude.
Hi I also would like to buy tickets in advance online so I'll be hassle free and just go to the stadium to watch. Any information where I can buy said tickets online or they are just being offered at the entrance of the stadium tournament as you watch the game. Any information would be highly appreciated. Many thanks!
Tickets are on sale now online at: Sistic Early bird discounts are in effect from now until May 12, 2011.
Does anybody know the list of players participating in Singapore Open 2011? Or is there a link to it? Thanks
I don't think it is available yet but should be available around May 10th when the registration period closes.
Do you have any link so I can validate this. With all due respect Sir Sealman, I just need some kind of confirmation (from other members of the forum) because I have already bought the plane tickets and booked the hotel for this event in Thailand. Of course the free entrance tickets, I hope it also includes those seats close enough to the playing court, is very much appreciated. Many thanks!
Should be exciting if both ld and lcw plays. AFTER a three-year absence from the Republic's marquee badminton event, Olympic gold medallist Lin Dan is set to feature at the Li-Ning Singapore Open. The Chinese world No. 3 will headline the June 14 to 19 event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. 'The Li-Ning Singapore Open is always one tournament that I want to win and add to my collection of trophies,' said Lin, who has won the world championships, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup and Asian Games gold medal. 'Singapore is also somewhere I'd like to visit, the food is good, people are friendly and the place is very clean.' Fans can expect more big names at the US$200,000 (S$249,000) tournament as it is the first Superseries event to take place during the 2012 Olympics qualifying period. World No. 6 Boonsak Ponsana and Singapore's women's doubles defending champions Yao Lei and Shinta Mulia Sari have also confirmed their attendance.
Yes you may bring those items but no outside food/drinks are allowed if I recall correctly. Be prepared for the exorbitant food/drink prices in the SIS ps the nearest food court is at Kallang Leisure Park
