You should watch Game 2 of the final of Indian Open 2011.

With so many upsets in this tournament, despite virtually all top 10 players of all discipline play, there is only 1 match involving WR 1 and WR 2.

    That is Mix Double.

I think the crowds will support Peter Gade instead of Lee Chong Wei in the MS Final match.

    I agree. My prediction is:

WD: Wang/Yu should be much more powerful and versatile than Vita/Nadya

MD: Cai/Fu should have no problem to calm down GZD/CB

MS: PG is strong this time, almost back to his peak time, but LCW still holds his weapon very effective to kill PG.

WS: Saina is hot, especially at INA, but WYH has to beat Saina to prove herself, that's a long time overdued job for WYH.

XD: Although Zhang/Zhao is the world number 1, but Tantowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir is just too hot now. At least this time, TA/LN are unstoppable. While ZN/ZYL has kind of lost their cool.

Many people rate the Chinese WD highly. Vita has the experience and if Nadya can play well and not nervous, they can give a good fight. Although it is still unlikely they will win.

I am hoping (not guessing) that the 2 INA bombers win their match. A new dimension in WD instead of those long rallies where they can play until the cows come home.

I still remember how PG troubled LCW in recent India Open SS final................it will be another tough battle between this two players.

LCW has been on form for so long, since last year i think...........so i am worry this might be the time he lost before WC !!

I don't mind if he loses here as long as he gets past the QF of WC :p ;) :D

yes cw is very fast now and relying on power game but lost his touch in the other aspects of the game. look what happened in the second game CL was in control. I'm sure PG/coach was watching and taking notes and unlike CL, PG will not make the errors in the finishing phase of the set.

So far I mostly see LCW playing carelessly ... and the only way to score is dead on the line, kinda like Chen Long today: find the lines and hustle at the net. Mission impossible ...
Would love to see Gade win the world title though , or this one for that matter ...

I think Chong Wei is still in very good form and is not a devastating thing even if he loses to Peter as his main target is the World Championships. Chong Wei has stated, before this tournament, the main objective is to guage his performance plus others prior to WC and we've found out quite a bit about him and others including Lin Dan, Chen Jin, Park, Taufik, ... Just relax and enjoy the final and no need to read too much from the outcome.

I actually think it's better for CW for lose today and let Gade win this title. In this case, he will make sure he keep himself motivated till the WC and will even give a "false impression" to Lin Dan and Li Yongbo that he's actually "declining". Peter Gade deserves a SSP title!

Let LCW build up his momentum till the WC and not peak early. That's the most important thing. And yes, I will be supporting him (unless he's facing Taufik or Simon) for his maiden yet very important breakthrough WC title!

Sound logical but as players ourself, we know is very hard not to give your best while we're on court playing against other fellow countryman? The idea case is Peter plays his best match and beat Chong Wei and create big waves ... Is true, sometime you have to lose small to win big, slogan from Las Vegas? :)

I really hope Peter can push himself and test Chong Wei and beat him eventually (for once) :)

LCW has already assured himself of 9,350 pts (equivalent to more than SS title) from this tourney.
