Another game over in the 1st round! They don't play very successful together for quite a while now, I have to say!

Chen Long vs. Kevin Cordon was an absolutely brilliant match (I watched the entire day). I was stunned by Cordon's strength of will and determination at the end; stamina is something the Chinese players usually train for, which is why few others can match them in that department, which is why it is really something special when you have a player from Africa with presumably limited training at all (forget gruelling stamina exercises like Chen Long must have) gritting it out in an exceptionally long last game to the very end.

Give credit to Ajay and his coaching staff for very well prepared against Tago. I am a little disappointed with Tago as he took so long to adapt and made changes in his game plan. Tago lost the first game easily for playing defensive game, didn't work at all and he didn't change his game plan until trailing on game 2 @3-11 then he switched for attacking mode, almost worked but a little too late. In 21 point system, game plan have to alter on the fly else is too late.

Geography is just as good as the Americans' ;) Although a recent survey on the news showed most of our holiday go-ers going to Egypt couldn't even point it out on a map :rolleyes::D

I can't wait to go on Saturday- Row 7 block S10 all day, looks like I can blow the shuttle off target from the distance I am sitting away hah....!

Could not believe Cordon, he's amazing! It's about time some raw talent emerged and contested the big players in badminton :)

I was a mopper for that game and I really happy I was on that court to watch the game. Chen Long put a really good show today!!
he was irritated after the game that he didn't give any signatures to me or my friends but later on, I managed to get his autograph.
