Nowadays I don't get too excited when a youngster from nowhere suddenly defeat an established player, such as Bellatrix beat Pi Hongyan in this case. Most of them after beating a world-class player would fail to follow through and lose to another unknown or lesser known in the next round. A real world beater has got to go all the way to win the tournament,at least a third-tier one as in this case (counting WCH and SS Premier as 1st tier, Super Series as 2nd tier, Grand Prix Gold as 3rd tier).

An example was Li Xuerui who won the Asia Championship 2010 beating Saina Nehwal and winning the Thai Open 2011 beating Saina again,Porntip and Jiang YJ en route. An even better example would be Wang Shixian who first burst onto the international scene in 2009, winning the SG Open that year as a qualifier beating Lu Lan,the then world champion in the Semi-Final before overcoming Wang Lin in the Final.

Pi is leading 19-16 now vs Bella, seems a decider is required...

Obviously Cobalt is a Dune fan and has chosen Arrakis in lieu of his real location.

Pi took the 2nd set, 3rd set should really be decided by youth versus experience/veteran where fitness or stamina should count as well.

It must become something really so very weird to the Super power house when they see both players from INA plays a 1 hour 16 minutes match in today's MS SF.........with that kind of Sportmenship !!

To them its a crazy thing to do.............:D :D

Fyi Hayom is from the INA national training camp; Alamsyah belongs to local private club
(the other two semifinalists don't belong to natl training camp either, i think Taufik is on his own)
