ha ha ha just between capslock on/off...but agree it's just a minor upset!

The REAL UPSET today is Peter Gade's defeat to Hu Yun :p

You cannot say that... because Daren is still a rookie in terms of international tournaments (as compared to many other BWF players).

Fu Mingtian blew the 1st game to Porntip, 23-21. Good to see both seizing the first opportunity to attack, with very few long rallies.

Can't more agree, Peter has been consistently achieving SFs or QFs and a seat in Oly is certain! Hence, a couple of slips in R1/R2 will blow no serious problem for him (except less few grands in pocket) :D

There is no question he will qualify for London 2012 ... The question is whether or not he can prevent three Chinese entries in the MS by staying in the top 4 of the WR . From his point of view that translates to one less hurdle to at least a medal in London ... unlike others he is not going as an unofficial tourist :p

oops..just learnt that Fu Mingtian is the cousin of the famous diver, Fu Mingxia... though i'd noticed the unusual way to write her name "Mingtian" i/o "Ming Tian" for a Sporean :p

so, is she better than Gu Juan?? And is Gu Juan also an imported player?

ha ha ha...Spore has the fast track to suddenly dominates certain disciplines in Sea Games...
if Spore continues in that way, i won't wonder if one day, not too long in future, it is able to grab the most gold medals in Sea Games, beating its must bigger, unenergetic neighbors in sport scenes as well :D :p

In tomorrow's QF, will Lin Dan just concede a walkover or contrive to lose to Chen Jin or neither, just play and win to the Final irregardless of CL or LCW? I'm asking because I'm dreaming of a Dream Final again, incurable me.

If Lin Dan were to give another walkover in this tournament, I think BWF will definitely be sending a warning to LD and LYB.:eek::eek:

I think, the outcome will be defined by who needs the most the Oly point from current position:

    * will CJ gain the very significant point if he win over LD then proceed further to the final?
IF CL is waiting there, he even has the chance to eventually become the winner

    * will LD suffer significantly in his (Oly or ongoing ranking) position if he losts to CJ in QF tomorrow?

i think they will decide based on the optimized position for the entire TEAM :p not for the individual's interest!

i think, unless there's a necessity to send a very strong message to BWF (for whatever it's), they need not to be so rude...just stage the match in a sufficient way to get the objectives done in more civilized manners :p
