Because this is just a minor tournament, SS not Majors...........so he is not interested, he not respect His opponent, the organizer and world wide badminton fans.......

    What a great Champion he is...............:D :D :D

The official explanation is "ingrown toe nails". It was first aggravated during the 3-game match with Chen Jin.

It would be probably be a worse situation if LD won over Tago and pulled out of the Final.

That was one silly statement :D

If he is injured and feels he most likely had to WO the final, he probably did both the ticke-buying badmintonfans, the organizers and Tago a service.. I cannot even begin to imagine your comments if he had pushed it and won the 3 final points and then had to whitdraw from the final, depriving the fans of a SS final on sunday..

It ticks me off a bit when people that knows s**t, pretends to know everything about the players, injuries, feelings, and effort :D

Please be careful with what you're saying. As far as we know, you could know s**t as well. You're just assuming everything that comes out of the CHN camp as the golden truth.

Of course i know S**t about if he is injured or not..I was not even in Paris!! But I dont claim to know s**t... That the difference..

I would be careful to say I know this and that about why a certain player did or did not do anything..

I am saying that "" IF "" he is injured, things are different..

If you for a fact KNOW he was not injured then please inform us, but if you do not know him personally I do think you know s**t about his injuries, toes, heel, lower back etc.

I think people should be careful about talking about a persons "respect" for others and intents without having facts to base it on!

Saying things like "not interested, he not respect His opponent, the organizer and world wide badminton fans" about a person, without detailed knowledge about facts and circumstances, is showing a huge lack of respect from the poster towards another human being imop.

    /T

I see war of words looming. Can we suspend this thread until we know the real reason why LD retired, preferable from Mr. Lin Dan himself.

agreed. gentlemen, please tone it down or refrain from commenting.

i think we can agree that the badminton world would be a much more boring place if we don't have LD.

Meanwhile, Tago's record still remains intact, unblemished, supreme, indisputable....

So why didn t LD just let CJ win? That would be more thoughtful to the fans. Or why not give Tago a walkover, instead of aggravating his injury? How can CBA not take super care of their golden goose? Is it so difficult to take care of ingrown toenail condition so it doesn t flare up during tournaments? Any doctor to enlighten us?

undefeated. in the end, he's the one still standing. That's all that matters. The rest all get ingrowths, fungal infections, diarrhoea, backaches, twitchy eyes, scratchy behinds, take your pick....

But Tago just buzzes along! :D:D:D

Oh don't pay me no mind. I'm just enjoying myself. :D:D LYB sure knows how to make me laugh. He's reduced some of the greatest players in the world to nothing but commodities.

    Indifferent? I don't think so. :D
I am happy for anything that wil advance Tago in a tournament. It so happened that LD came along at the right time. Great! :D
