No. but then again, anything can happen.

Also, let me remind you that the AE 2010 final was a much closer thing than people conveniently remember, and could have so very easily gone into a decider. Just one line call away. Kenichi is a confidence player. Who knows what could have happened, especially with LCW still hankering after his first AE win at that time?

But this thread is about something else, and for the purposes of this thread, I'm done with it! :D

Not me, I won't miss them. Even how boring it may be.

Wasn't just one line call - he would've needed to win the next 2 points as well to get to a decider :D
Anyway, good to see him back in a SS final. I hope he can get the dearly needed consistency, and occasionally show flashes of brilliance instead of playing brilliant 30% of the time and gifting away the remaining 70% like he's prone to doing.
If he can maintain this kind of performance, we might well have an exciting future ahead of us after LD, PG, LCW retire and not complete dominance by China...now Korea needs to find another MS player with at least top 5 potential...

any way I should see LD being injured on OG 3 points before winning the final match - and retiring

Probably not in the final.. But most likely he would not have retired in the final in French open neither.. I think He retired to not have to WO the final. If it alread is the final he will not have to think about the match next day..

If he injured himself badly in OG against for example CJ in Semi I think he would rather retire, for Chinas sake, if he felt the injury would make it impossible for him to win the final.

Oh Lin Dan.. suffer injury once again.. Hope he warm up enough next time before he plays a match;).. The walkover clearly shows french open SS is totally not important to him... It is a joke that he leads 18-14 in the 2nd set after having winning the 1st set, he concede a walkover.. 3 more points to go.. come on..If it is OG 2012, even with blood bleeding halfway through the match, he will still play like a superman:D Noticed the difference..;)

if ya'll wanna see LD play in the finals against LCW, ya'll will have to ask all his opponents from round1 until semi to give him a walkover.. that way, he wont injured himself playing and can play in the finals.. hehe :p
