Tago should progress to QF. MD R16 Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [4] vs Patipat Chalardchalaem/Nipitphon Phuangpuapech - Kido/Hendra should take this one. Hendra A. GUnawan/Alvent YUlianto Chandra [5] vs Liu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan - an upset is also possible here with the improvements made by the CHN pair lately. Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan vs Chai Biao/Guo Zhendong [3] - Chai/Gua are superior. Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [2] - a bad draw for Angga/Rian but with Bona/Ahsan's still inconsistent performance, they could possible upset their seniors. WD R16 Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Nitya Feinya Agustine vs Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na [8] - I would very much like Nitya/Feinya to win this one to show that they are ready to take on the top 16 pairs. Jung/Kim have the slight edge. Chou Chia-Chi/Yang Chia-Chen vs Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii [4] - it was a good victory for Mel/Grace today. Hopefully, they can beat another TPE pair tomorrow. XD R16 Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [1] vs Lin Yu-Lang/Hsieh Pei-Chen - Towi/Butet proved me wrong today. I think they should win this one. Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto vs Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying [5] - I don't think Rijal/Debby can beat the fastly improving MAS pair. Hmmm, in that case,the smash winners may include all the overhead winners which are not necessarily smashes(a couple maybe) but punch clears, cross-court drop shots and placement shots, which WSX is well-known for. Thanks, anyway - don't know why I'm still so concerned about her

I hope Tommy can beat Hafiz to confirm that he's ready to be counted as one of INA's Thomas Cup players next year as Hafiz is likely to be MAS's 2nd or 3rd MS (depends on whether his ranking is still above Liew Daren by then).

I didn't realize LXW was a whisker away from being eliminated by Kaori Imabeppu. Can't believe Imabeppu let a G2 20-16 lead slip. One more point and it would have been game, set and match. Kaori must be kicking herself. Chances like this don't come very often.
I guess,a distraught Kaori Imabeppu was so rattled by the G2 narrow defeat that she self-destruct in G3. I'm not sure whether Kaori really played above herself in G1&2 or LXR was off-colour for most of it;in any case,let this be a valuable lesson for Kaori,whether it will haunt or strengthen her going forward we shall see (so easy for me to say sitting in the comfort of my home surmising).
