Momumental battle coming up for "King of Yo-Yo" title...

Two players trying harder to find new ways to lose...

    Too funny, cobalt! LOL

The 'Yo-Yo Kings' may wish to consult with recreational players who always have a list of ready-made excuses for losing.
It helps to be well-armed with excuses before the game starts. For example, arranging to have a large scar on your knee as if you had recent surgery. But if that seems a little extreme, you could instead claim to have cataracts, low iron, chilblains, PMS (poor motivation syndrome- not the other PMS), or just blame the unusually strong gravitational pull of Venus at this time of year.

    MS QF
    P. Kashyap [14] vs Simon Santoso [5] - with no LCW or Lin Dan in the Draw, Simon should take this opportunity to win the title here. The remaining opponents if he can win here should be Du Pengyu in the SF and either one of the 4 players in the bottom half.

Lee Hyun Il [6] vs Taufik Hidayat [3] - by right, Taufik should have no problem progressing to the Final. But, at his form right now, squandering valuable leads and losing one set because of it not only in 1 match but in several matches, I don't think he can beat the Korean but I hope he can prove me wrong and show to us that there's still something left in him.

    MD QF
    Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan
[4] vs Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra [5] - both pairs need the point badly and I think Kido/Hendra still have the edge.

Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu [7] vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [2] - time for Bona/Ahsan to rise to the occasion and hopefully win the title here, starting with Fang/Lee today.

    WD QF
Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na [8] vs Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii [4] - good to see Mel/Grace progressing to the QF after several first-round losses. I hope they can beat the KOR pair.

    XD QF
    Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir
[1] vs He Hanbin/Bao Yixin - as the top-seed, Towi/Butet should win the title here. But, it's not going to be easy as always against CHN pair. Towi needs to minimize his errors and Butet should maintain her dominance at the net.

Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto vs Liao Min-Chun/Chen Hsiao-Huan - Rijal/Debby should take this chance to progress to the SF!

LOL! Well, in the present case, they won't have to look beyond their opponent for the perfect excuse:
"He's so tall, I couldn't see what he was doing."
"He's so short, I couldn't see what he was doing."
    Failing which,
"The net kept getting in the way..."

    Simon vs P.Kashyap
Simon has the edge, hopefully he will win the title here.

Lee Hyun Il vs Taufik Hidayat
See the current form of TH, i think LHI will take it.

    Kido/Hendra vs Alvent/Hendra
I wish Kido/Hendra to win this match, they need more points to qualify to next year OG.

    Bona/Ahsan vs Fang/Lee
The fourth meeting of both pairs, with Bona/Ahsan win all the previous meeting. Hope Bona/Ahsan can keep the perfect record against Fang/Lee.

Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na vs Greysia/Meiliana
Yes, Grey/Mel beat the KOR pair easily in previous meeting. But with the current condition of Greysia who is still in recovery phase, i don't think they can progress to SF.

    Towi/Butet vs He/Bao
In first round, Towi/Butet trashed Ko/Eom. But they are so unpredicatable lately, not in form i should say. Towi should cut down his errors.

Liao Min Chun/Chen Hsiao Huan vs Rijal/Debby
The TPE pair beat Rijal/Debby in INA Gp Gold 2011.

Good effort in G2 though, catching up from a long way back to force deuce. Unfortunately they couldn't sustain the drive.

Yes, forget that Greysia still need recovery. Before lost to Korean pair 9-21 G1 and leading first G2 now 17-17 all, it seems to hard for Gerysia/Meliana enter into Semi Final...
