Honestly i am impressed with the result andrei/christo have made for this couple of weeks/month. With some more experiences maybe they could be world beater. Remember KinDra as a world nmr. 1 they were one of the best attacking player with the worst defense ever.
Perhaps.....they need to tighten up on their defense (esp Christopher). But I am impressed with Andrei from what I saw last week. He can attack and also be a playmaker (albeit not as good as Hendra Setiawan....but who is at the moment better than Hendra in INA?) And yes, I do sense that this pair probably has the most lethal offensive play of the 4 pairs in the second team. Markus/Agri - most hardworking player paired with perhaps the best playmaker of all the 4 pairs. At the moment, they have the highest ranking out of the 4 pairs. Too bad, this pair has no offensive power at all! Andrei/Christopher - the most lethal and offensive pair with suspect defense. Still, their results lately are quite impressive, with 1 IC title, another SF finish, and a runner-up in a GPG event this week. Ulin/Ricky - this pair is arguably the most balanced in terms of net-skills and offensive play. But, they remain inconsistent and results are actually inferior to Andrei/Christopher. Berry/Rahmat - the "worst" pair of the 4 but they are the Kejurnas champion.
Even Ricky/Ulin are not that agressive compare to andrei/christo.. Ricky/Ulin games still messy, as i said they nee more tourney. It is quite encouraging to see current INA MD and BD.
Taufik takes the first-set 21-15. He allowed Sourabh Varma to have an 8-2 lead. Come on Uncle Taufik....take it in rubber-set. I do have to agree that Andrei/Christopher offensive play is attractive to watch, esp when they are on a roll and does not allow any chance for their opponent to attack. Let's see how they fare next year after ending the year with a high.
Still good tourney for Rijal/Debby and Andrei/Christo, they can rest now and be back stronger in 2012 Anyway Taufik almost reaching finish line to make end for Cinderella run of Sourabh.......
Gloria is Ina best bet indeed to rplace Lilyana in xd, but Butet still has plenty years to come on her career.............
Finally Ina got 1 title here by none other former wonder kid itself................. Okay guys, see you all in 2012...................................
Phew, at the end, Taufik Hidayat wins one title for INA after a straight-set 21-15, 21-18 victory over the home player Sourabh Varma. Taufik at least wins one GPG title this year.
Bravo to our ladies, Shinta Mulia Sari and Yao Lei for an upset win against JPN's #1 Miyuki Maeda & Satoko Suetsuna 21-17, 21-18. I see our girls are confident enough to smash their way through. Yes they must have worked hard on their smash to make it more handy and biting.
. No... Inthanon Ratchanok and Porntip Buranaprasertsuk thought that it's better for them to start packing and to be ready to fly out to Denmark, for the 2011 Copenhagen Masters tournament, which is commencing on Tuesday 27-Dec. .
Another thing i like about Gloria is her height..With her height, it is easier for her to intercept at the net, and smash at the back.. She needs Butet's delicate touch in front of the net and placement....If she is able to grab the lesson well from Butet, we just need to find her a partner...A guy which at least is also taller than him, IMO...
taller than her ?? i think rafiddias is taller than her.... alfian eko and ronald alexander are as tall as her, around 180 cm... judging from their photo. haha
