Errr, I dunno about that....What's the $$$ for winning KOR12, I think USD40K compared to I guess USD20K or 25K, that is USD15K to USD20K spread...hmmm, if I am LCW, I take the cash first;)

OK, I confirm that I did not pay you for saying it. :D:D:D

Has a book been written by The Thing? - I don't think so... Why? Because one book of 100 pages is not enough to explain one demonstration of a stroke/footwork/movement/etc, etc, ...... :D:D:D

Korea is 75.000 USD for the winner of MS, runner up gets 38.000 USD.

Agree with you that the training system for LD and LCW is not for anyone and everyone. One thiing puzzles me. Just a few months ago or even a year ago, a lot of BCers said LD was washed up as he was slow, not interested in winning SS giving WO, half hearted defense, stroke than smash, and even lost in EAG to a KOR reserve player. The LD we seen in the last few months and now in KOR12, is lean, fast, and we can see the same LD as in OLY12 coming back. What training system is that? With OLY12 still 7-8 months away, and more SS to come to fine tuning, I would not be surprised if LD get back to WR1 and walk to the OLY12 final, especially when he would not have to face CL/LCW in his half.

There is a book on badminton skills demonstrated by Tang Xinfu and written by Li Kaiyong (spelling?), also a national level coach. The book provides good documentation of badminton basic strokes, but I don't think it goes as deep as Tang Xinfu's philosophy and training methodologies.

Is it a 5" x 7-8" booklet written in mandarin with diagrams? I would say some 20-25 years ago?

Agree with uncle OTB, a lot of $$$$ difference between winner & runner-up. Plus LCW gets to keep All of the prize money, LD gets only XX percentage after CBA takes a cut.

The question is does LCW actually get the prize money to keep it.

You may be right about the book and the time it was published is about right as well.

LCW did well to suddenly step up his aggression to win the 2nd game and lead comfortably in the decider (about 3 points). Then, after a dubious line call Lin Dan seemed to get disinterested.

But I won't take away any credit, congratulations LCW!

LCW throws down the gauntlet for the year. Mind you, neither LCW nor LD looked their respective best during the Korea Open Final. Still, it's USD$75K for the win, a a whole lot more valuable mental confidence booster.
