Looks like Vittinghus is being underestimated by some observers. I can still remember how he thrashed Wang Zhengming late last year. He gave Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei very tough times too in this year's German Open and the All-England respectively. On his day he is a very difficult player to play.

For how long has Li Mao coached in INA? Is he coaching both Rumbuka and Sugiarto or just the juniors? Rambuka and Sugiarto have not made much headway. They , in my opinion, still have some catching up to do with respect to Tago, Shon Wan Ho,Wang Zhengming, Du Penyu and Chen Long. I think Liew Daren and Chong Wei Feng can also take them on.

Oops, there goes Kido/Hendra's chance of going OG. Or is there still chance if KKK/TBH lose the QF?

I wonder how HHB/BYX will do against their Russian opponents. They won the first game but they need to keep their guard up. the russians are not to be taken lightly.

The other highlight is SN vs BYJ. This might get interesting.

Think I saw Liew Daren beating Hans before in the French Open last year. There is a video somewhere on youtube, can recall him being... a bit clumsy?

But yes, when he's up he seems to give some players a tough time...
I don't know what's wrong with Liew Daren these days... we would think that he would find extra motivation and fire after reaching the QFs of AE and Swiss but now he's back down in the doldrums, losing tamely to Shon Wan Ho this time round.
Tommy also, astonishingly lost relatively easily to Shon Wan Ho.

Tomorrow is another Singaporean Gu Juan's turn to face LXR, hopefully the latter's wrath has subsided and appeased by Fu MT's capitulation. Whatever, might as well be hanged for a sheep than sacrificed for a lamb. Gu, lash at her wildly with your claws like a mad cat and go down fighting - don't go meow meow and expect her not to gobble you up, she is a woman on a mission and is prepared to crush anyone or anything in her path. I shudder to think of your fate, still have a good meal and sound sleep tonight, so at least you would look good tomorrow.

Guo Zhendong/Chai Biao has become something like a stepping stone the youngs pairs with potential to go further. GVS/LKW has beaten them, KKJ/KSR has beaten them too... and now Angga/Rian too! :)
