There was one between THA in MD and the match was very close.

Very disappointed at the performances of Bona/Ahsan and AG/Alvent as both failed in their matches yesterday. As for WD....used to it already and I dare not put much hope in INA's WS or WD.

    MS QF
    Lee Chong Wei
[1] vs Taufik Hidayat [7] - Taufik at least fulfills his seeding, unlike Simon. He might have a chance against the top-seed who struggled against Ajay Jayaram yesterday. Nevertheless, LCW to take this.

    MD QF
    Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro
vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [6] - Angga/Rian need to maintain their consistency now. It's useless to beat a top-10 pair one day but losing to another the next day. Let's see if they can beat Koo/Tan again today.

    XD QF
He Hanbin/Bao Yixin vs Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [2] - a potential banana-skin for the reigning AE champion. The current H2H is 2-0 for Towi/Butet and they are probably INA's only hope for a title in India.

I was using the college student and elementary school student analogy, but Ryan/Angga proved me wrong during axiata cup 2012, let's see if KKK/TBH deserved to be analogized as college student.

Many people around me are not believing Ryan/Angga performance while they beat KKK/TBH at Axiata Cup 2012 on rubber set. In their opinion, KKK/TBH are just playing around with Rian/Angga and not playing seriously on the 2nd and 3rd set after an easy game at the 1st.
Everyone has their own opinion, & in my opinion Rian/Angga performed really well & promising on Axiata Cup, additionally Rian/Angga has to prove their consistency after a winning against CB/GZD yesterday which is quite inspirational to the PBSI particularly young MD squad.

I agree KKK/TBH lost to Angga/Rian because they were not interest in Axiata Cup as it is not the big event at all and they were not play seriously.
But this time in India SS, KKK/TBH surely play super seriously and they will gonna show no mercy to their opponents, just like what they did to the JPN pairs in round 16...

Agree, possibly huge pressure to perform well in front of her homeground fans:confused:
She also failed in IND SS last year, BAC 2010, Hyderabad WC 2009.

INA singles players have deep concern, all WS knocked-out at first round and the same case also happened to MS, only TH still survive until last eight.

I think Rian/Angga's chances against KKK/TBH are pretty much similar to GVS/LKW's against Bona/Ahsan yesterday. If Goh/Lim can do it, I don't see why Rian/Angga can't.

Would be refreshing to see two young pairs in the semi-finals provided that GVS/LKW do not mess up against the dangerous Russians while Angga/Rian repeat their victory.

i think is AE SS 2007 final, after that they began to struggle onwards till today as most of their opponents are able to read their games easily...

KKK/TBH's ranking is falling down rather quickly.

If they don't win today, I think they will be out of the TOP 8 Rankings. This would be really sad.

During Axiata Cup, KKK/TBh were not fully into the tournament. The last time they play seriously with right tactics, they got WC runner up. The last time they played seriously but lack stamina, they ended up AG runner up. The last time they play seriously ever since change to Pang and TKH, TC qualifiers. Other than that, they played in frustrated with each other manner. New trend, lol

HKV's injury is still quite bad, in fact the only reason he hasn't withdrawn already is because hr needs the points for the Olympics...
