    Yes, scratch pairing is a gamble but has its advantages, so it s well calculated risk. Remember MAS MD most unpredictable ; that s the scary part, both for MAS and opponents. With LCW possibly injured, will be good test for rest of team.

    There's still plenty of time until the olympics. Dependent on how bad the injury is, he could prepare even better for the olympics.

    Chong Wei has tears in his eyes, must be painful ... I don't think he should take any risk to participate this event, go home and take plenty of rest to gear up for Olympic.

    PG did a net lift to LCW right corner. LCW was moving smoothly for the right corner ball, but somehow, his right ankle twisted inwards when retrieving the ball by trying to cross court net ball. Its a pretty bad twist from the re-play. The "side-ball" of LCW right ankle was almost immediately swollen, and we can see LCW facial expression was totally in-pain.
