vote who will win the thomas cup after the article! reigning uber queens DE-THRONED! http://menandskin.wordpress.com/
Congrats to the chinese girls!! They well deserve it. I am sure they will continue to dominant the event for years to come.
No surprise really, especially from the moment WYH came back to win that miraculous 2nd game. KOR was deflated and done. At least cheerleader extrodinaire Hwang Hye Youn got more TV time than anyone else... combined!
Wang Yihan : Queen of the World Wang Xin : Queen of Foreign Wars Wang Shixian: Queen of Asia Li Xuerui: The Unbeatable….
Korea may have relinquished the Uber Cup, it was no disgrace, they acquitted themselves admirably for which Sung Ji Hyung deserves special mention for nearly upsetting Wang Yihan in a possible repeat of 2010. She failed and as a result suffered much agony and psychological hurt,I believed. A case of a miss is as good as a mile, so near yet so far. I hope Sung doesn't that fiasco too badly and emerged stronger than ever - she is young and has the natural talent. Wish her and the Korean team greater success in future.
"Jill Clark, the commentator of BWF loves to pick up the faults on the Chinese, however never other countries. This woman is not only biased, but sounds so annoying, that i could seriously punch her in the face, and gladly say i did it!" as quoted from http://menandskin.wordpress.com/2012/05/26/the-reigning-uber-queens-de-throned/
So What is wrong with that? China is the best. To Be the best you have to face the criticisms. Basically BWF is controlled by China, the sport is no longer a fair game anymore.
You asked "So What is wrong with that?" It's self-explanatory, as this line says it: Jill Clark, the commentator of BWF loves to pick up the faults on the Chinese, however never other countriesit's called DOUBLE-STANDARDone must be VERY CAREFUL with all the criticism and MUST EXAMINE the REAL motive and intention behind it, understanding who's the critic is helpful.
Is that a statement of fact or accusation? If true, how about letting all the top 4 CHN WS to the LOG, why limit to 3 at most? One poor girl is in agony now, please help her.
My point is to say BWF is controlled by China is not the same thing as saying BWF is soft on China, give her more leeway,is more lenient towards her, or some such statements. Even Park JB who openly criticized BWF never said she is under China's control. To be able to control a world body requires a lot of power, resources and behind-the-scene manipulations by politicians and highly influential luminaries. Don't forget in these regards, Japan, S Korea, England,Germany,Denmark, including Indonesian and Malaysian tycoons and government officials are not that weak. For the financial world,it's widely known and acknowledged that US controls the IMF and World Bank. I'd at most say China has some influence and face in the BWF. Same for table-tennis where China is strictly limited to 2 qualification spots, no exception made for 3 unlike badminton which gets one more (is China supposed to be thankful for it?). China has always made it clear that in the world stage, she will never exercise hegemony over others and that big and small nations should be treated with equal respect - this has been their foreign policy since the founding of the PRC. Who is LYB to dare to defy that?
