got my bs15 and mx60 in today thanks to squasheric. I put that green towel grip on it ^_^. trying them out tonight
I just happened to need new shoes, racquets, and bag really badly as mine were getting pretty bad. The string and the grips were ... well... just because . My brother does most of the stringing at my club so we will go through it fast and I've never tried victor string before.
I can hardly blame you - Victor stuff is great! Way better than Yonex imo. All I need now is a pair of 9000 Ace to match my Victor rackets, bag, shirts..
ohh shipping was around 70 i think. my brother bought me a nice black and yellow kit (shorts and shirt) so now I totally color match (at least for one night)
Tranqq, really like to know how you find the BS15 compared to the MX60. I have the MX60 and am considering the BS15 but reviews are still quite thin on the ground.
I tried them both out a couple days ago. Keep in mind the grip I had on them was too thick for my small hands, which really effects my play (I was also extremely sore that night) From my perspective the mx60 feels even balanced to me, and does everything really well. It has decent power, good racquet speed, and decent enough control. Where as the bravesword 15, which also did everything pretty well, definitely had more weight in the head, and I felt like I could get some really good power from it and good control 9but the defense wasn't as good). Definitely preferred the 15 for singles. I actually found the mx60 to be faster in defense and drives than the bravesword. I put on different grips and I'm hoping to use them both again soon. I'll let you know if my opinion changes at all ^_^
TMN uses the MX70...and one of the Korean chicks does too......and JJS uses the MX80.....and the mixed doubles player with the glasses from Chinese Taipei uses the 80 as well. Considering the Meteors have only been around for just over a year, that's a pretty good take up. Sure beats the take up of the Z-Slash!
To put in perspective, if professionals uses stiff racquets like MX80, then it is only wise if intermediate casual players uses something less stiff to better-suit themselves coz definitely our technique and muscle development is not as good as Pros rite? Hehe...anyway MX60 is really an easier racquet to play with compared with 70 and 80 for me....
Eh, our technique might not be as good but doesn't mean we normal human beings can't handle it. Just look at all the people on this forum with MX80's. I do agree that MX60 is much easier to use than the others. I don't like BG80 @ 25lbs on mine though. The tension in and of itself isn't too high but the feel when hitting is as if the tension is too high, kind of plank-y. Next time I'll definitely string it with a softer string.
66U, exactly what I was thinking unless I try something new for fun, either one of the bajillion types of LN strings I have lying around or one of the ZM's.. Suggestions?
tranqq, anymore review for mx60 compare to bs15? Is mx60 more forgiving due to smaller sweet spot for bs15? How about the head weight and stiffness between the two?
