Am I seeing things? How come they are playing two matches a day? Now Lin Dan vs K Srikanth, a lop-sided match it seems.

Lin Dan made the right choice actually for not playing in Indonesia and Singapore..that way he could avoid putting unnecessary pressure onto himself and not allowing opponents/media to watch how he plays in these venues.

Treat Thailand as a warm up base before flying to Indonesia to check out the other players. Lee Chong Wei is still frantically praying to have his ankle healed quickly...lol

I see, always thought main draw is one match a day, GPG not a weak tourney. No wonder this morning Lin Dan was lazy to get out of bed and this evening he wanted to have an early night.

Only Sony and Alam made it through R16 for INA MS. This is not good as both are quite seniors. One is struggling of his come back, one is not too young too. INA now even has to envy of IND with two young Verma.

Nonsense. What's there to envy about the two Verma as the two haven't a big impact to be reckon with yet?

Indonesia has way more talented players to start envying other nations

Olympic champion Lin Dan of China yesterday played down his chances of winning this week's SCG Thailand Open badminton championships.
The world No.2 said he is currently feeling both physically and mentally tired after leading China to the Thomas Cup earlier this month.
The 28-year-old, who is the top seed in the men's singles, said there are a large number of good players in the Thailand Open as well as several young players who are relatively unknown.
And he thinks some of the lesser-known performers could produce a shock.
''I will do my best,'' said the 2008 Thailand Open winner.
''I will try to go out and have fun.''
Lin arrived on Sunday night and admitted he should have come here a few days earlier to get used to the weather and the stadium.
Other players in the men's event include Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana, world No.18 Tommy Sugiarto, Alamsyah Yunus of Indonesia and Muhammad Hafiz Hashim of Malaysia.
In the women's singles, India's world No.5 Saina Nehwal is the top seed with other contenders including China's world No.39 Li Han and Thailand's Ratchanok Inthanon.
The qualifying round will take place today at the CU Sports Complex, Chulalongkorn University. The tournament proper begins tomorrow and ends on Sunday. Admission is free.

Something's wrong with the TS website or was it my eyes, earlier I thought I saw Chong Wei Feng retired at 7-11 to Nan Wei, now it showed the scoreline as 21-15,21-18 played to the finish, won by Nan Wei.

Oh my, Inthanon took 3 games to beat Chan Tsz Ka recently. Nozomi did it in just 21-7 21-12.

I am still waiting for the so-called "way more talented" INA players to make their impact. You sell the Verma boys short. They are pretty darn good players.
