Professional baddy player, perhaps? Train hard for 4 years to win RIO 2013 and pocket the gold bar.

as long as you're in the same group, you will be in different halves after the group matches.
i.e. guaranteed will not meet until the final, if at all.

    really?

    1) in the WD, most likely the 2 Korean pairs will be play against each other in the QF, and it will be 2 straight games in around 30-35 mins to Kim/Ha.

    2) in the MD, if Chai/Guo couldn't top the group and came second. China will have 2 options, either let them play Cai/Fu thus assure they will be in the SF without much of a sweat. or take a chance and let Cai/Fu drop a match and have both pairs in the QF and a chance to be both in the SF.

    3) in the XD, China if possible would like both pairs as group winners or runner's up together thus wouldn't meet before Final. in the other hand, Denmark will make sure both pairs in the same half, hopefully one will go pass.

    4) even countries with only 1 pair qualified can and will manipulate their group position depend on who they prefer to play in the next round.

anyone watched the draw live there?
if so, can you confirm if Chen Long was 'placed' in the opposite half of Lin Dan or it was a 50/50 draw between him and Chen Jin please.

according to ctjcad, his sources told him CL / LD will be placed in opposite halves.

and given that his "source" is sitting there right at the photo above, i do believe that would've been the case.

well, at the start of the draw both LCW and LD's names were there and there was a few minutes delay for CL and CJ's names to appear as 3rd and 4th seeds.

So, if the top 4 places were already know before the draw there seems to be no reason for the delay, just wondering.

if only they open this to BC members, it would be completely full house with no standing room.

sorry if i've missed it - but how do the singles with 3 in a group work? The winner of the non-seeded pair plays the seed?

I think everyone still plays each other once. Just 1 player will have a bye while the other two play.

Been analysing Pablo Abian's game recently, he will push Taufik Hidayat to the distance with his never-say-die and willing to dive attitude. Also his game and shots are not mediocre.

Not sure about Petr Koukal's game after he recovered from cancer. My take is TH is going to be given a run for his money as he never met two of them before though TH will go through.

AGAIN, Kashyap parupalli will face his Bogeyman, tien minh nguyen who beat him in almost every major tournament, WC and AG. This time they meet again in the Olympics.

The best of GB vs one of the best of Europe vs the best in South America.

This group is truly the group of death

Either way Boonsak might not last the tournament. His stamina and age are an issue.

Chen Long's draw is fking easy. He by right should reach the semifinal without breaking any sweat on paper. If he fails, he is considered a flop after all that training...
