LYD too heavy? Try out the AT700LTD, Li Ning N90, or the VTZF and get back to us! If that's not enough, I had to add lead tape to the LYD to get it to feel the way I wanted
I have been searching for my perfect racket for 5 years now (I've been playing for 8 yrs but only 5 with intense training)... 1 or 2 months ago I bought the BS LYD since the MX80 was too stiff and the SW35 too head light. As soo as I played with the BS LYD I was totally in love with it... and I still am (immediately bought a 2nd one... and my 3rd will come at the beginning of august) it is THE racket I have been looking for... and I've tried A LOT!!!! anyway just giving my opinion
MX80 i personally feel slightly stiffer compared to LYD but Sw35 i find it heaviest compare to LYD n MX80 model ah...sw35 is too stiff n head heavy to me
He is 14... too much strength work could be damaging to his body. It sounds like this racket is for a skilled player / adult with strong arm / forearm and wrist. I know from my years of playing that i could play with this racket and hit a very nice smash with it but after half an hour my wrist would be gone. I need balanced - headlight rackets due to this. My advice is to stick maybe to balanced rackets or headlight rackets until you gain some more strength, as to which time you will be able to take full advantage of the attributes of a racket like this...I have no doubt that for the right player this racket could be lethal...
my case exactly! I consider myself to be a weak player but with this racket my smashes are more powerful and I don't tire out as quick as before. This is also fast. nobody has been able to smash the shuttle to my face anymore.
Victor does not make very head heavy rackets. The SW35 is a balanced racket. http://www.victorracquets.com/PRODUCT/tabid/83/c/rackets/p/sw-35/PageIndex/4/Default.aspx
i think i have an armortec 250 that's heavier than the sw35. i'm not sure about bs lyd, but i have a bs and sw and both felt a bit head heavy, but not to the point that i get hurt from swinging it in a game. i considered myself just beyond the level of a beginner but i don't think it's the weight of the racket that's holding me back, rather it's my form and the lack of practice on particular shots. i think as you grow older and bigger, you'll definitely gain natural strength which allows you to use "heavier" rackets. it's awesome you get to train at such a young age, i wish my parents would spend money on a badminton coach rather than violin lessons
Well I kind of do have a strong arm and well... the SW35 has been really way too headlight for me... as I taped the head at least twice... nice to hear that as well...
