    haha, I don't know what their coaches thinking about
    but the coach really fired up, talking with his hand all over the place

    he talked about they should give a good drives, and don't hit it hard, hit it slowly at the front

    C. ChongWei like to have more practice in his first game, so deliberately played a 3 game matchD. ChongWei played smokescreen in this early round, like Spain soccer team in this year's European Champ.

    Head to head means nothing especially in the Olympics. Every pair is capable of setting up a nice surprise. Nobody really expected Ko/Yoo to exit in the group stages, since they were the highest ranked pair. The Chinese had never defeated the Russians either, even though they were ranked higher. From what I've seen so far, KKK/TBH have never played better than this for a while now. And JJS/LYD are not invincible either. Head to head here means nothing once again.

    That's not true man... I think h2h does count.

    JJS/LYD is always superior to KKK/TBH and Bona/Ahsan. This time is no different.

    KKK/TBH had their chances to prove themselves so many times before this but they still kept losing to Bona/Ahsan and even 3rd ranked KORean pair.

    I think LYD losing is actually a plus rather than a negative, realistically he didn't have much of a shot to win the mixed and now he can concentrate his focus on MD which in my opinion JJS/LYD is the favorite and having him play mixed would be detrimental to his MD performance.

    Don't count h2h in the Olympics, it's a whole different game, everyone is putting their guts out there to do well since the stakes are higher and there's little opportunity for it

    Koo/Tan looks to be performing better than ever, they won all their opponents comfortably and though I'm supporting Chung/Lee it's difficult to say who'll win despite the h2hs in favour of the Koreans

    Anything can happen...

    Don't know if it has been mentioned already but apparently Michal Logosz ruptured his Achilles tendon in this most likely his fourth and last Olympic appearance ... ouch indeed!
